Geneseo Prairie Park

This white-throated sparrow was spotted at Prairie Park in Geneseo, Illinois. Along with the prairie, there is a woodland area with hiking trails. The Hennepin Canal runs along the north side of the park.

This beautiful marsh marigold was the first blooming flower that I photographed last spring. I am looking forward to the end of this long winter and the coming of the spring beauty!

Every time I hike in Geneseo's Prairie Park I am amazed at the beauty around me! This beautiful widow skimmer was very cooperative when I snapped this photo, most are not.
