La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Myrtle Beach - N Kings Hwy
8/10 Good
"The room was clean and a nice layout. The staff was nice and helpful. However, the furniture in our room could have used some attention. Our couch & chair had stains on them and the recliner barely opened and closed. The little in room amenities were lacking, with only shampoo and coffee in the room initially. We had to ask for soap and they didn't provide any other toiletries. Those weren't a big deal, but something to note as I'm used to hotel rooms having, bar soap for the sink, body wash for the shower, shampoo, conditioner & lotion. Maybe that has changed in the last few years since I last stayed in a hotel, but they were a surprise to me. We didn't use the breakfast because it was just a continental breakfast. They did have coffee available in the lobby at all times. Overall, I would stay there again."
Hilton Grand Vacations Club Ocean 22 Myrtle Beach.
10/10 Excellent
"I recently stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club in Myrtle Beach, and overall, it was a great experience. The property is beautifully maintained, with clean, modern rooms that feel more like a vacation condo than a typical hotel. Having a full kitchen and separate living space made it especially comfortable, whether you’re staying for a few days or a full week.
The location is one of the biggest highlights—right on the beach, with easy access to the ocean and a short drive to restaurants, shops, and attractions. Waking up to an ocean view and being able to walk straight onto the sand was definitely a plus.
The amenities were solid, including multiple pools, a fitness center, and relaxing outdoor areas. The pool area was well-kept and not overly crowded during my stay, which made it easy to unwind. Staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in and any requests smooth and hassle-free.
If I had to point out a downside, it would be that some amenities and activities may have limited hours depending on the season, and parking can be a bit tight during peak times. But overall, these were minor inconveniences compared to the quality of the stay.
I’d definitely recommend the Hilton Grand Vacations Club in Myrtle Beach for anyone looking for a comfortable, beachfront getaway with a more upscale, spacious feel than a standard hotel."
The Ellie Beach Resort Myrtle Beach, Tapestry By Hilton
8/10 Good
"The view was great and it’s right on the beach. The waterslides were NOT open for spring break, just on weekends. Having water slides all week was one of the reasons we chose this resort specifically and we were disappointed. Not a lot of dining options but the ones that were there were really good. Enjoyed the free mini golf course and free pier access. Seemed like at less half the days there was an elevator out of service for an hour or two so sometimes we had to walk around to alternating ones. Very limited towels at the pool, but housekeeping didn’t take the ones we had in our room from the night before when they cleaned the room, so that is likely contributing. Free EV charging easily available during our stay "
"Breakfast was complimentary. They tailored to everyone's needs. I appreciate the amenities, really felt like i got value for what i paid, though they could be taken care of a little more during off season... like updated paint and rust at the lazy river. The room was fairly clean. We had 2 Roaches near the pull out couch- which was broke and found 2 bed bugs in a suitcase and a plastice bag that covered my pillows that was on the floor. The location of the resort was great- central to everything. "
"This is a complete CATFISH. For the money we spent, we expected to at least be staying at somewhere remotely close to the listing. For starters, the indoor pool was out of commission almost two days and the weather was lousy (obviously not their fault.) It was really too cold to be swimming outside in their pool that they claimed to be heated but it was not. My kids were so disappointed. The lazy river was also cold and less than mediocre. The oceanfront "bar and grill" was just a bar. The only option for food for lunch/dinner was greasy bowling alley food. The only restaurant on site was open from 7-11am for breakfast. It is more like a seedy motel than a resort. It was sandwiched between two old motels that seemingly were being used as either shelters or section eight housing. I explained all of these concerns to the staff, and they were not really phased. Their solution to the pool situation was to drive down the road to their sister property and swim in their pool. I did my research prior to our trip, and honestly can't believe how they had the best reviews. They must have paid people to write them. If i was able to get my money back I would certainly try for it. I NEVER leave bad reviews online, but I felt it was my duty to save the next person their money."
