We stayed during the off season. The resort was easy to find. Parking is tight but still fine for a truck. We received an email in the morning notifying us of our cabin number & our door code. This information combined with the map that was included in a previous email was sufficient. Upon arrival we found our door was not locked and our pilot light on the gas stove was out. Someone came in good time to fix this for us. We didn’t realize till later in the evening that our door would not lock from both the exterior and the interior. We put the sofa in front of the door for the night for a little piece of mind. Not sure if the batteries were dead but it still didn’t make sense as to why it wouldn’t lock from the interior. This would be one of my biggest deterrents in renting during peak season. The bathroom door didn’t close all the way. The beds were comfortable, the place was cozy and rustic. The kitchen has what you need to make meals. I did wash everything before using. Didn’t watch tv but noticed there were a few dvds. We didn’t use the property because of weather. The walls are not insulated so I could see noise being an issue if you had noisy neighbours. The 400 is close so you may hear that in the summer with windows open. We could hear a bit of traffic with them closed but nothing that kept us awake.

A nice overnight stay
The cottage was cute, clean and comfortable. Getting the door code ahead of time make check-in super easy, but wasn’t able to find the wifi password anywhere. Overall, would stay again.

We were provided a text message with the door code prior to check in, the cabin was clean and included comfortable mattresses, cutlery, items for cooking and serving as well as fans in each room. The shower water pressure was lacking but it gets you clean. The management met us shortly after arrival and was friendly, letting our son know there are nets for frog catching with the resident frog "Jeffrey" earning a freezie reward if caught. He spent hours outside catching frogs and fish for the whole trip. You can tell they take pride in the resort, upgrading as they can and choosing options that impact customers the most. Good choice of food options close by (The Galley and The Grill, a coffee house, ice cream shop, 24 hour pizza machine and convenience store) as well as a small beach down the street for kids.

The cabin i stayed in did exactly what it said on the tin. Pool area was clean and lots to do. My only negative experience was actually at checkin. There was no one there when I arrived. I called the number to get an answering service and no one could get hold of the manager. I didnt know what my cabin # was or how to get in. Took almost 2 hours for someone to finally guess which cabin and gave me a master code so i could get in. Got a call from the manager after i was already in who then texted me all the information that was meant to be sent to.me the morning of checkin.

No frills "resort", staff were friendly, grounds were nice, it was quiet and laid back. We rented the studio cabin and it was smaller then expected but for just a couple without a toddler would probably be fine. No towels in the room and no housekeeping. You need to clean up and remove all garbage/recyclables on your own to their dumpsters and leave the cabin the way you came or it says you could be charged a fee. No beach but the pool was refreshing and right beside the bay. Close to amenities and Lock 45. BBQ to use for cooking. Smart TV in room.
