"Room was clean, but had an old cigarette smell. Shower head needed to be cleaned. Bedding and towels were clean. Comfortable room overall. Hallway and stairwell was very unkept. Quiet, would stay again."

Shoreline Inn & Conference Center, an Ascend Collection Hotel
8/10 Good
"I had surgery at a near by hospital on a Wednesday. We arrived early on a Tuesday for my required pre surgical scans. As we drove 3 hours from home I am not familiar with the area, we thought we might get an early check in time and get to bed early for my 5:30am arrive time at the hospital. But the staff at the front desk wouldn’t allow a minute before the usual check in time of 4:00pm
This hotel is pretty impressive from the outside and nice on the inside. The bed and pillows are comfortable. We had a water view room and the sunset was really pretty. The only thing I didn’t like was the TV. It was to small for the room and there wasn’t any streaming service so we couldn’t watch our on Netflix and channels were limited. I felt the price for this room was a little higher than it was worth. "
Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Norton Shores/Muskegon
2/10 Terrible
"First few rooms were unacceptable and had my daughter with me and there were some type of roach looking varmint types of bugs in the few rooms as well. The breakfast there compared to other baymonts very sad.. recommend if you need a cheap place to stay and dont mind visitors."
"our issue was with the pool/hot tub and service from the front desk.
A large family was using the entire pool and part of the hot tub. They were very loud using water guns for the last few open hours (approx. 8:30-10pm) which was the time after we had checked in. At one point a child asked one of the adults if they could come stay overnight. She replied, no because it was a school night. That gave us the impression that they were not guests there. The hot tub was cloudy but hot. the fire alarm went off through all this and it took a few minutes to turn off. We went by the front desk, no one was there and called but and we got no response to the call. We gave up and left. We reported this the next morning. She (the clerk) said someone is always at the front desk but we told her that was not the case when we were there. That evening after the pool mishap we went by several times finding no one. When we had checked in the clerk came by after a minute from the outside."
"If you want drugs and hookers this is the place to go. I have never seen a hotel ran this poorly, and to allow everything that is happening to continue. Everything was dim lit, the room was NOTHING close to what the pictures showed. The steps to the second floor are about to fall in. Wyndham needs to make a visit here, and reconsider this location. I've never felt more uncomfortable in a place in my life. Constant traffic with horns at all hours. As a business owner myself, I would be ashamed to put my name anywhere near this place. Mini fridge doesn't work, ac doesn't work, dirty towels, dirty bedding, and people slumped in the stair way"
