"I was so glad I picked The Chandler Hotel for our stay in Madison. It was fun to read about the building's unique history and amazing to experience its current life as a boutique hotel. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed, comfortable and the shower was a 10. It was an easy walk to restaurants, shops and to the Ohio River where there is a wonderful park with walkway along the river. I'd definitely stay again."

"Property is getting older as All State parks are. But lots of options to do instead of just a hotel with a room. Plenty of Acres. Has a lodge, cabins and a campground. Had to go to the campground to wash clorhes for work. Mini golf, hiking,tennis/basketball courts, frisbie field. Small Lake with rentals. History points and war memorial. Location there in town makes shopping/eating easy but still has wooded acreage setting. Staff were all nice and helpful at the desk and the restaurant. Outside pool is large & nice w/lifeguard but limited swim hours. . Unfortunately, told there was only one housekeeper, and rooms are only cleaned daily if u ask. Advised we had to be in the room to get it cleaned due to safety reasons. We did ask, 2 days, only needed a broom, towels and trash removal but housekeeping did not come. We were able to get some extra towels at the desk. I went to buy trash bags and a hair dryer at the Walmart. The restaurant had a menu and buffet that changed and was good. The lounge was closed due to no bartender. The room at the lodge had a front poolside view and a private wooded balcony with chairs and a table out the other side. Room chair was nice big & comfy. King Bed was OK. Would have liked a lamp and plug in on my side of bed though. Clean white linen. Shower acxessable.Tv was small but has cable. Fridge not adjustable but kept drinks cool. Stay was mid Sept. So not during peak season. Would definitely stay again."

"Was checking in last at night and the staff made it quick and easy so we could get to our room. The room was nice and the bed wonderful. The breakfast was very good and loved the cinnamon rolls!"

"Welcoming and friendly staff. Everything else for the price.. pretty much what we expected. Stained hallway carpet, stale smoky smell everywhere. The room was clean minus the nasty bedspread and blanket with cig burns and yellow stains. Could use new comforter and pillows. Should get rid of the nasty decorative pillows that never get washed. Overall, fine if a quick stay."
