Sliding around in a tiny shower with plastic curtain sticking to your back. The room was extremely hot even when it was mild outside even with the fan on!

We went to this place because the picture looked really nice and the price appealed to us. However, when we entered the 'studio' it was just a small room for four people where you could barely walk. There was a lot of (we hope) dust on the beds and it overall looked neglected. The check-in was really easy. We didn't see anyone from the property the whole weekend. When we had questions, there was no one at the reception. However, the self check-out was really easy and convenient. Concluding, the photo's are somewhat misleading and the rooms are not really clean and very small. It was okay for our student friend group of four, but we will not come back heren.

We have standard studios, duplex studios and duplex with terrace studios. In the Expedia banner, you can see a collection of pictures chosen by Expedia. When you go to the overview at the reservation-type studio, you can see the pictures of the studio you want to book. You had booked a standard studio. A standard studio is a double bed and sofa bed in a studio of 26 m². This is indeed not super spacious but you can view these dimensions on Expedia. This is basic apartment on the perfect location in Ghent. Walkable distance to the train station, conference center, and downtown with many bars and restaurants. Beds were comfortable. Only bad point is there is no AC, but on the other hand it seems not many days with extreme temperatures. All in all, you cannot beat the price for that location!

Based on the pictures and the description, it wasn’t not at all what we expected. Unbeknownst to us, it was more of a hostel than a hotel, which really didn’t work for our family with young children. Among other things, the walk up was nearly impossible for our luggage and our young children and the WiFi didn’t work. As a result, we had no choice but to find another hotel. We put the key back in the box where we found it and took a cab to the centre to find another hotel. All in all, it was a great inconvenience to our vacation in Ghent.

I enjoyed my stay immensely! Ghent was my first trip ever to Europe and staying at Edville Studio was perfect. The room was a perfect size and had everything i could need. It felt like i was going home after a day of exploring. The only thing i could have used bigger was the slower, but that was minor. I would recommend this property and Ghent to anyone traveling to Belgium.

Great value place to stay in Ghent
We had a great stay here. The location is perfect - a lovely walk up the canal into the centre (even in the cold!) and easy access to station and museums and to the tram. The studio was a great size, well furnished and with a really comfy bed. Surprisingly quiet given proximity to the main road too! Cooking is only possible on the hob (no oven or microwave) but is fine for breakfast and light snacks.

Great Place
Walking distance to Old Ghent which is what we wanted. Small by north american expectations, it was a typical European sized flat. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would do so again.

Lovely characterful duplex
We really enjoyed our few days' stay in our apartment. A lovely duplex - The balcony (which not all apartments have) was great - overlooked the canal and a lovely place to have a coffee. The duplex was well-appointed with food preparation facilities. Most importantly, coffee, tea and a cafetiere! There's a pleasing ethical emphasis, recycling being actively encouraged and facilities provided for this. The shower was wonderful. A comfy sofa, which is also a sofabed. It's nice and quiet. After booking - which I would recommend! - don't be put off by the instructions about checking-in... they make it sound a little complicated should you arrive when reception is closed - it isn't... Possibly the easiest check-in I've had in ages despite arriving much later than I said we would! There's a gentle walk of around 15 minutes into the centre of time town but 2 or 3 wonderful bars 5 minutes' walk away. Our main concern was the ladder to the platform on which the bed was located. There was no handrail and if felt a little insecure. Getting to and from the platform seemed a little hairy at times.Peeking into other apartments (including the one our printed documents suggest we should be in rather than the key we were given) showed that some had better (?safer) arrangements than room 305. We'd suggest keeping the 'bedroom' window closed at night. Biting insects will enter the room and the provided anti-insect light wasn't effective.

Lovely location and view. Bed was a mattress on the floor on mezzanine level with access by ladder - very difficult to get down - no handrail at top. There is a sofabed, which was OK. Not suitable for everyone. Balcony was great

First time, and would return.
Very basis, clean, comfortable, and actually more spacious than I was expecting. Well -supplied kitchenette, and nice view right on the river. It was my first Airbnb-style place, where we had to strip the beds, clean the dishes and empty garbage and recycles, but not so bad for the price. We checked in after hours, and it went smoothly. We walked daily to center of town - nice walk along the the river, and took only 20 Minutes. Street parking for only 6 euros per 24 hours. Yes, we would return.

Un hotel muy bien ubicado. Cercano a la estación central, aunque hay que caminar cerca de un kilómetro, pero también muy cercano a la universidad de Gante lo que te permite disfrutar de la vida universitaria de la ciudad y todo lo que ello conlleva (restaurantes, bares, eventos culturales, etc. )

No iron available for the guests. I had to ask and insist to the reception to let me iron a couple of shirts. Also, no air condition in the room. The windows were facing the south, so in July in was very hot inside. There was a big fan that helped, though. Nice place for a short stay. The kichenette is very well equipped.

Me pidieron que cancelará mi reserva de forma no oficial obligándome a perder el dinero. Les envié varios mensajes y correos y no contestaron hasta que el mismo día del Check-in me ofrecieron otro estudio cuando ya había reservado otro hotel que tuve que cancelar para finalmente hospedarme en Edville Studio. Posteriormente solicite dejar mi equipaje, servicio que ofrecen bajo demanda, nunca contestaron... Por último solicité una factura y sigo a la espera de respuesta. Por otro lado el apartamento estaba en buenas condiciones, el. Único inconveniente es que hacía muchísima calor al ser un ático sin aire acondicionado pero había un ventilador al menos

I'm reaching out to you because i've noticed you haven't been answered as it should be.We apologize for the inconvenience it may have caused you. To clarify some things: + In the weekend our office is closed, so request to book a locker have to be booked in advance at the moment.I do understand this could be working better if we would make it possible to book the lockers through our website or through a qr code on site at the time the guest wants this. We will try to improve this service for our future guests. + Normally you will receive a mail also from us confirming your reservation with all the explanation in how we work and how you can order extra services. Due to our mistake you have only received the check-in mail. + You did indeed receive a request from us to cancel your booking without charges. Because you didn't reply and we couldn't reach you, we decided to give you an upgrade to a duplex studio for the same price. + Invoices are automatically made of all booking on the name of the guest upon checkout, if we are provided with company details we can provide you the invoice once the booking has been paid. We can also change the details later but it will be more work for us. We didn't receive the invoice details from you until 3 days ago. Perfekt für entspannte Tage in Gent und auch Party
Die Zimmer sind praktisch eingerichtet und für einen Städtetrip perfekt ausgestattet. Die Lage ist optimal um entspannt ein paar Tage in Gent Urlaub zu machen und in wenigen Minuten ist man zu Fuss in der Innenstadt

Me gustaron las sabanas de algodón. No me gustó la falta de comunicación en el check in, coincidió con 2 días festivos seguidos y no tuvimos acceso a información turística (plano ciudad, etc..) que solo estaba disponible en recepción; armario sin puertas, de difícil acceso por estar pegado a la cama, campana extractora de humos no funcionaba, manual de microondas correspondía a otro electrodoméstico que no estaba en el apartamento

Viihtyisä huoneisto joen rannassa
Olimme tapaamassa Gentissä opiskelevaa poikaani. Sijainti oli erinomainen hänen asuntoonsa nähden. Huone oli mukava ja keittiönurkkauksen varustelu riittävä. Parveke oli todella kiva, mutta siellä olisi voinut olla jotain kalusteita ettei olisi tarvinnut aina siirtää sisältä. Portaat makuuhuoneeseen olivat vähän huterat ja hankalat ja veivät paljon tilaa ruokailunurkkaukselta. Huoneessa ei myöskään ollut yhtään kaappia tai laatikostoa tai hyllyä, joille olisi voinut purkaa matkatavarat eli niitä piti säilyttää matkalaukussa. Keittiön hana oli irti ja sen käyttö oli siksi hankalaa. Suihkun viemäri veti aika huonosti. Pientä remonttia huoneisto siis kaipaisi.
