"I've stayed here during the blues festival for years. Since I'm hardly in the room, I dont need luxury but certainly expect security. I was assigned 3 different rooms my first night. First room already had someone in it. Second room I was given 3 different keys, none of which worked. Third room had no security latch, no working lock, beds with just sheets and no towels. Didn't feel comfortable leaving belongings in the room, so the next night, which had been paid for already, someone else was in the room. As the motel overbooked by 10 reservations, the staff decided if there wasnt anything in the rooms, then to assign the room to someone else. We were able to get the last room, which they had been doing maintenance on. Although we had to figure out how to drain the sink and there was no shower curtain, at least we had a security latch. When we first arrived there was another customer complaining she walked into a room with a man sleeping in the bed. The 2nd night the gentlemen who came in right behind us were informed there were no rooms even though they had a reservation. Another party I spoke to indicated they reserved 3 rooms, but were only provided with 2. The motel itself is poorly maintained. At the very least, pick up the numerous piles of feces at the side entrance. This was such a garbage experience, I would rather pay more to have at minimum a room that doesnt have a complete stranger in it and a door that can actually lock."
