Wir haben uns hier sehr willkommen gefühlt. Ein sehr persönlich geführter Gasthof mit toller Küche, alles ist ansprechend sauber. Im Ort selbst gibt es unter anderem einen Irish Pub, den wir ebenfalls nur wärmstens empfehlen können. Der Parkplatz am Hotel ist eher klein, aber der sehr nah gelegene Supermarktparkplatz darf ebenfalls genutzt werden. Dort gibt es eine öffentliche Lademöglichkeit für Elektroautos. Im Landgasthof selbst ist uns aufgefallen, dass die Inhaber großen Wert auf Umweltschutz legen: am Frühstücksbüffet gibt es keine kleinen Plastikverpackungen, sondern alles ist in sauber verschlossenen kleinen Gläschen abgefüllt. Sehr guter Kaffee! Wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen, es waren herrliche, ereignisreiche fünf Tage in der Eifel.

The room was clean, but the mini fridge was left unplugged and someone left food in it so it continued to make the room smell horrible. We had to wait a while at the front desk, because the lady was outside and didn’t hear the bell ring multiple times. Didn’t like that the door was a key. So if there’s more than one person staying and someone left and the other stayed, the other was locked in basically. Wish we were able to use the spa but nothing showed how, and waiting at the front desk was a nightmare.

Das Landhotel Gillenfelder Hof hat sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet und man hat alles was man braucht. Für unsere Ausflüge in die Region der Vulkaneifel war das Hotel sehr gut gelegen.

Leuk en net hotel, vriendelijke eigenaren. Ontbijt prima, enige nadeel was dat ze bezig zijn met renovatie en dus in t weekend en maandag om acht uur er al druk gehamerd wordt Verder gastvrij en netjes

Als wir das Zimmer bezogen haben war das Bettuch voller Flecken und Haare, vermutlich noch von den Vorgängern. Wurde dann aber sofort ausgetauscht. Das Hotel ist nichts besonderes, in dem Dorf gibt es ansonsten nichts, wo man hingehen könnte. Es mangelt an Infrastruktur.

gutes Hotel zum kurzen Aufenthalt geeignet

Schönes Hotel, Zimmer gepflegt und relativ neu, leider Personal(erkrankungs-)probleme im Haus, was sich beim Auffüllen des qualitätsvollen Frühstückbuffetts auswirkte. "Senior-Rezeptionist", der betonte, dass er das sonst nicht mache, wirkte etwas ruppig im Umgang mit Gästen sowohl am Telefon als auch vor Ort. Er antwortete auf meine Frage , bis neun Uhr gäbe es im Restaurant essen, wir sollten aber auf jeden Fall früher erscheinen. Das Essen war schmackhaft und gut, preislich für die Eifel im höheren Segment, die Qualität stimmte. Der "Senior" von der Rezeption "bewachte" den Restauranteingang vom Barhocker aus. Auf die Frage der Hotelinhaberin, ob er noch länger unten im Restaurant bliebe, lehnte er ab. Daher mussten wir um 9 Uhr die Restauranträume verlassen, weil sie abgeschlossen wurden. Im ganzen Haus gab es keinen Aufenthaltsraum, die Inhaberin meinte, bisher hätten sich die Gäste, dann immer an die Gartentische vorm Haus gesetzt, aber heute sei es ja zu kalt. Im ganzen Ort, waren die Läden um 21.15 dicht. Fazit: Für ältere Leute, die um 21 Uhr ins Bett gehen eine wunderbare Location, wer aber abends Geselligkeit sucht, ist da am falschen Ort oder er muss eine Zimmerparty machen und vorher im Supermarkt Getränke kaufen.
