"Wagon was in a lovely location on a farm and owner was very nice, once I managed to find the farm , but checking in time or instructions would have been helpful . Bed was comfortable and I did appreciate the tea, sugar and milk provided , but the room itself was quite cold -with one tiny inadequate heater . Bathroom was also very cold and smelled very damp and unfortunately the toilet seat was loose and shooting off to one side. "

"We stayed for three nights in Snowy Lodge. Check in was easy, your keys are left in an envelope in the small reception, theres a map on the wall to tell you where to go. Take note with regards to check in and check out. Hotels.com states check in at 5 o'clock when its actually between 4 and 5 and check out at 9 when its actually 9:30 to 10. "Very peaceful, lovely private garden patios with a stream running past and lots of bird song. Inside, the cottage is equally serene and well thought out, with lots of windows, plentiful hooks in the bathroom and a great walk in shower, as well as a clean and spacious kitchen and living room. And the location is perfect, with easy access to all the hiking trails and castles. We loved our stay in this cottage. Perfect!"

"A very pleasant surprise as a solo guest. Needed an overnight stay for an event in Abergavenny, went with no expectations, just needed a comfortable, clean place and that's what I got. Yes the place needs a bit of tidying up, decorating, updating of furniture but that doesn't bother me as long as everything works for it's purpose which it did. I booked a room at the back with a balcony overlooking the river and the view was wow! On the hottest Bank Holiday for years, I left the French doors slightly open at night and it was so lovely to hear the river and breeze coming in and my morning cup of tea sitting looking at the view. It's a stop off for bikers and I enjoyed having a bit of a chat with them and about their trips and bikes. I didn't eat at the cafe/bar but the breakfasts from what I saw looked good. Bed comfortabke, I slept well. The only thing I would say is that the walls are thin and you can hear people walking on the floor above you, so if you are a light sleeper that may affect you. For me though for the price, I more than likely will be returning with my partner in next couple months for couple nights to take in the Brecon Beacons."
