Hotel Pineville & Conference Center Alexandria I-49
4/10 Poor
"This is now an OYO branded hotel. Background: (2023-2025) I have stayed here on previous trips and although it was/is an older somewhat dated facility it always felt clean and safe for our stay (I travel with a school group, so usually several teenagers and chaperones. Safety for those kids is a priority.) Most Recent Experience: (June 2026) Under new ownership. The smell of drugs was noticed several times in the building on the day we arrived. The rooms showed considerably decreased cleanliness, door keys had to be reprogrammed for several of our rooms (we had six) multiple times. The pool was empty, the fitness center was out of order. We had no washrags in the room, no bathmat, we had to request then wait on clean towels (there where no clean ones at the time of our request). Overall, I knew on day 1, of a 3 night stay, that I would not be booking this hotel for future stays. I don't mind an older but well maintained, clean, safe hotel, unfortunately this one no longer meets those requirements. Probably ok for workers & stuff but definitely not for single females, school groups, family stays. (Lots of people just kinda hanging around in the evening hours. Not saying all those were bad sorts but not an ideal situation for the groups mentioned.) This is my opinion, I paid fully for my rooms, no refund was requested, but I will not book rooms here again. A/C DID work in the rooms; the halls were 80° or more; hot water was not so hot; plumbing in some rooms did not work well."
"Everything was great, especially the Breakfast. Only one little issue. I asked for a late checkout early that morning of 5/14--which l was told 1pm. The agent cfmd it. We retd at 10:55am and we were locked out, so l had to return to the front desk to wait for the agent to confirm, but we actually didnt need the late ckout. Because we were in a hurry their was a computer issue, so she rqstd the maid service to open the door. Guess someone didn't follow thru. Otherwise our stay was great!"
