Barrington Hide-away Cottage was perfect for our stay. Clean and cosy, peaceful, abundant birdlife from our verandah and, the best for us, spotting a platypus in the river! Thank you Paul and Sue.

This was a great place to stay. It was incredibly peaceful and the cottage was beautiful, clean and relaxing. We will be highly recommending this destination and will be back ourselves in the future.

This place is amazing. It was hot but of an afternoon a beautiful breeze from the river. We even saw a platypus. This accomodation has everything even good coffee. The only downfall was no ceiling fan in the bedrooms , which would have helped while sleeping. we have already recommended this property to our neighbours who are thinking of going to Glouster.

Lovely cottage on the river
Really an outstanding place to stay -- beautiful location, lovely outdoor deck for breakfasts with the birds singing, overlooking the bubbling river. Very comfortable. The host was very gracious, providing any assistance we needed and even posting us an item we forgot to bring home. There is indeed a platypus in the river that is possible to see at late dusk, but very hard to photograph.

We had a great time, loved the veranda, amazing wildlife so close and beautiful creek. Went fishing but no luck. Shall return to see the Platypus in the creek.

Birthday get away.
We went to celebrate a birthday. Our choice of venue was superb. Our accommodation was in one of four free standing cottages on acreage, very private as each was hidden from the others by greenery. It was overlooking a small stream in which previous guests had reported having seen a platypus or two. We had a large covered deck equipped with a BBQ, table and chairs. A great place to sit and relax. There were two large bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen dining and lounge rooms. The furniture was well chosen, comfortable and well maintained. The kitchen and bathroom were squeaky clean and well equipped. As a quiet get away it is highly recommended.

great getaway
an ideal location for a snug family retreat. we enjoyed our stay, particularly the deck outdoors so we could watch and listen to the birds. The kids loved bashing around on their bikes as well

The cottage was gorgeous. Immaculately clean and had everything for quiet privatee getaway. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Love it. Will definitely come again.

Private Cabin with a Beautiful view
A beautiful little cabin, its very well stocked it has all the equipment you need if you want to cook they even leave some olive oil and salt and pepper shakers for you. the owners are very trusting they leave little notes everywhere asking to leave money on the counter for anything extra you use.

It is very expensive, but it's also very comfortable & enjoyable to stay in these lovely cabins. The hotels in town are also pretty expensive for what they are, where they are, what you get & general decor & space, so overall it's better value & a much better & more enjoyable experience to throw even more $ into Gloucester economy & enjoy your stay.

Luxury stay at the edge of Barrington Tops
Our cabin was the perfect, comfy base for day trips to the Barrington Tops NP. Great spot by the river, serene, but just a short trip into town for a meal or the essentials. The cabin had everything we needed and was beautifully fitted out, from the comfy couches to the wide deck. Would be delighted to stay again in the future.

From the moment I booked Sue was nothing but helpful. The cottage is lovely and homey and the surroundings are beautiful. The big fire pit is a great conversation starter. Will be back for sure!
