"I gave it a high rating because it’s a motel 6. We stay at motel 6 across the country because we travel w our dog not leaving us much choice. True hotel needs to be rated amongst its peers. One of the top motel 6’s we’ve stayed at. But it’s still a motel 6"

"Definitely call the front desk if you will be arriving after 11pm, as they leave at 11pm until the morning. The owner & his wife were so friendly and nice upon arriving, giving me a history of the city, the hotel, & giving useful information of the area. This is a motel, so I was I knew what to expect, and was a bit surprised as to how nice my room was. As a big 6'3 guy, the bathroom & shower area was a bit small & tight, but I made it work. Aside from that, I liked the setting inside, with the microwave & fridge, the neon "road trip" sign, and the a/c worked great. I usually don't stay in motels, but since i was doing my Route 66 trip, I wanted to stay in atleast 1 vintage historical motel along the way, and was happy I chose this one."
