"Hotel Fron was a great pick for staying downtown, the room was comfortable and it is in the middle of many restaurants, bars and shops, the church is just a short walk away. It still was quiet in the room. The free breakfast is a real plus (especially considering prices in Iceland) and the staff was very helpful. If you have a rental car, there is a parking garage two blocks away with good prices (the staff can give you the address)."

"This is a nice and clean hotel with a great location in the city. A large variety of food and shopping options nearby. If you are going on excursions, you will be picked up at nearby bus stops, not the hotel because the street is very narrow. The staff are multi-lingual and were very helpful. We had a lovely view of the city and harbor, but new construction is blocking the view of the bay. Food is very, very expensive in Iceland, so prepare your travel budget wisely. We enjoyed our stay, the city and the country. It is a unique place in the world and beautiful. "
