"Not wanting a stuffy hotel we opted for an apartment type rental. Full kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Having a couch to feel at home to watch TV made our stay homey. Absolutely loved the decor with a theme throughout the place. I love the charm of the old homes and this one didn’t disappoint. If I get back to Staunton I will definitely stay here! "

"It was great to wake up to bird song instead of traffic noise, and almost everything I needed for my 4-day stay was there--even coffee and filters for the coffeemaker, which I didn't use because I brought my own, and dish detergent, a sponge, towels, etc. The shower control was very hard to pull out to increase water pressure, and the area rug in the front/bedroom seemed not to have been vacuumed in a while, as I discovered because I forgot my yoga mat. "My beautiful bride Tressa and I spent two nights at the Blackburn Inn. It was our second visit to this lovely hotel. Both times we had travelled from Virginia Beach to Staunton to enjoy the 3-hour train excursion operated by Virginia Scenic Railway. I wanted to share what wonderful service we received from both Amber White, your front desk supervisor, and Devin, one of the wonderful housekeepers. Both of these young ladies went out of their way to make our stay a wonderful experience. Because of my wife's medical issues, I had made a few special requests during our stay. Both Amber and Devin were so pleasant and attentive to us, it made us feel very special. I won't bore you with specifics, but suffice it to say that these two ladies are incredible representatives of both the hotel management and the Blackburn Inn. It is because of them that we will continue to come back to this beautiful property for our future visits to Staunton. "
