"The location was great, the room was clean, comfortable and visually lovely. The one downfall was the sound. The first 2 nights were okay with just some sound carrying from the room upstairs. The last night which was a Friday night was brutal. We got almost no sleep due to the outside noise of Friday night partiers that sounded like they were almost in our room. Windows were closed but there was no sound proofing at all."

"You often find a 5 star hotel that is middle of the road, no better than a 4 star and completely different from 5 star in other countries. This hotel, the staff, the quality and experience are what I would call truly 5 star, actually traditionally excellent 5 star. There is nothing I would find to complain about. We had an outstanding stay which has reinvigorated my faith in service, facilities, and enjoyment. Will definitely be going back and I just wish others provided this level also."

"The location is perfect. It’s on a quiet side street not accessible by vehicles. However, you just have to walk about 30 m to get to a taxi. The design is very cool the way they have mixed old world and New World. We tried the breakfast which was outstanding and they also have a lunch special which is very reasonable priced and excellent quality highly recommend this hotel."

"To begin with, GPS did not get us to the hotel. We drove round and round till we figured it out ourselves. First impressions of the hotel are cold, unattractive and uncared for in the lobby with horrible stained furniture and old carpet. The hallways were old and dark. The room was very basic but appeared clean and kept up. The bathroom had been renovated appropriately. Air conditioning was barely working which made the room unbearable. When brought up to female front desk staff we were told too bad, one system for the whole hotel, no remedy available. They were kind to bring us fans. The room was quiet and we slept well. We did not use the breakfast because we had to depart early."
