"We loved everything about our stay here. The staff and Barbara went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to ensure we were enjoying our stay. Luca, the chef came around during dinner chatting with the tables. The farm to table style of dining was unique and always delicious. We loved the mountain trails to explore the landscape and the views are spectacular. "We have stayed here several times in the last few years because it is always great value.Plus the host is always very welcoming and the free car park is very useful.The rooms are spacious and have large radiators.Good selection at the breakfast buffet with only one very slight complaint,no toaster."

"La Mezzaluna is a short walk from Barga Gallicano train station, and buses to Lucca. Rita is amazingly hospitable & welcoming, and did so much to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms are very nice, buffet breakfast set us up for the day. There is a bus up to Barga during the day, and a taxi back in evening.If you visit Barga, this is the place to stay. "
