Great location

Such a great location right in the middle of the city. A little hard to get in to otherwise right smack in the middle of the city was what we were looking for. Front desk was great service and very friendly.

Excellent clean place to stay close to everything and walking distance to all. Staff were great. Room comfortable and nice to have a fridge. A nice little sandwich place up on the 6th floor. Would definitely recommend.

This property is centrally located. Everything is just around the corner (other than the Alhambra). You must reserve the parking ahead of your check in otherwise you are risking not to have parking space available.

Location of the hotel was very convenient. Walking distance to stores, restaurants and the center of Granada. The reception staffs were very welcoming and gave us great suggestions of what to see in the city and a flamenco show. The only observation was that the walls were a bit thin because we could hear loud muffle talks and the tv on from the rooms next door. At least the noises didn’t go on very late at night when we tried to sleep.

Great location, basic hotel, clean and comfortable

Our second stay here as great location for city centre bars and restaurants and sightseeing. Lovely rooftop bar and cafeteria for breakfast and snacks with friendly staff and good service. Comfortable, clean rooms with good shower (no bath)! Underground Car park just across road booked in advance. Took half an hour to find hotel following Sat Nav from motorway but only 2 mins to get back on Motorway when leaving!!

It is well located with good transport links to the Alhambra and a walkable distance to the Albaicin neighbourhood as well as many Moroccan style street markets. Room was fairly good size and clean but the bathrooms need a little update. For the price, however, this was an amazing find.

I stayed at Hotel Universal for 6 nights (1st - 7th September) and would highly recommend it for it's location, security and quiet atmosphere. The check-in process was swift upon my arrival and I was greeted by very friendly reception staff. The hotel is located within the city centre and is very close to all the shops, supermarkets cafes and restaurants. I chose the single room option which was nice and clean on arrival. It came equipped with a large bed (sleeps 2), bedside draws, clothes rail, desk and chair, mini fridge and television. The single room also has an ensuite bathroom which contains a bath and shower, bidet, sink, mirror. The hotel does not provide a lot of toiletries other than hand wash and towels so you'll have to purchase items like shampoo and toothpaste yourself. The hotel is several stories high and provides lift access to all floors. At the very top is a rooftop bar and cafe which provides breakfast between 7am and 11am.

This hotel is in a very busy shopping area, interesting but difficult to get to in a car, additional driving instructions were sent ahead of arrival because GPS instructions are incorrect. Thank you for that! Parking in the underground lot across the very busy street was very tricky! Reception staff were very helpful. The room was very basic, very noisy, we could hear our neighbours and people in the hallway. When we turned on the air conditioning the room smelled like stale cigarette smoke, and this was a non smoking room. We finally had to turn it off and the room got quite warm. There was a window that opened, but it was 38 degrees out and it didn’t help. The rooftop cafe was adequate for breakfast and evening drinks. The coffee was excellent! Granada is a beautiful city and if I go there again, I would stay at a different hotel.
