The motel is conveniently located near the canyon rim. There are a number of restaurants, grocery stores and amenities within walking distance. The rooms themselves are quite basic and a bit faded, but clean and perfectly satisfactory for a family vacation.
Everything we needed for our stay at Grand Canyon. Close enough to walk to the shuttle buses.

The location is excellent. Easy to hop on the blue line bus. The staff was helpful, friendly and with fast check in. Also liked the dining hall. The lodges and rooms can really use an update but it was quiet and served its purpose for 1 night.

The lodge is in a good location with easy access to the shuttle. The room was clean and well-stocked. The hotel overall needs an update. The bathrooms were very outdated, the paint was peeling off the exterior, and the beds were super soft.

Needs an upgrade! Rooms very old and dingy. Staff was awesome and accommodating!
Location was great and the price was cheaper than other hotels that were 15-20 minutes away.
By all means this is not a fancy hotel, but the room was clean, and the facilities were well maintained.
Being so close to the South Rim visitor center allowed my family to go out at night to stargaze without having to worry about driving back to town late at night. We also were able to catch the sunrise very easily.
The breakfast buffet at the lodge was a good deal considering the location and the offerings. I would recommend this hotel for families with kids.

It was very convent to the busses and the lodge! Breakfast was great. simple but what you needed for 2 days. Bed was very comfortable. Only concern was the shower floor pretty much was caving in. And there was no body wash in our tub.

Room could have been cleaner and could use some upgrades. Shower curtain was dirty. Bed and pillows were nice. Location is good and service was great when we asked for anything or had questions.
Unsatisfied with service 3/5
I expected far better for the cost
We loved the grocery store on site
The property is rustic !!!!!

The location is great but it reminded me of an old army barracks. The room was clean and furniture was updated but the walls were painted cinder block and there was no bathroom vanity just a suspended old sink. Shower pressure was great tho!

The check in was super easy and the staff was so nice. We chose yavapai due to the location convenience. The biggest amenity was the location. The room was fine and clean. The only issue I had was the soap and shampoo were basically empty when I went to shower day one. Also on check out day, they expect people to be up and out. My partner didn’t wake up til 10 and they knocked on the door 3 separate times
