Loved that the property was in Grand Canyon Park. We were so close to all activities. The rooms were nice and the staff was great. The restaurant was very good as well.
It was a great overall experience
Check in and out was super quick with great front desk staff.
Room was so clean and close to the south rim
All in all best choice if you plan to stay within the GC park
The lodge located in a quiet area and very close to the view points of Grand Canyon. The dining hall has a good selection of food, especially breakfast.
Loved the lodge, we requested rooms near each other which they were able to accommodate. Would have liked a fire pit where we could roast marshmallows.

Check-in area, lodge and dining areas clean and convenient. Restaurant did not have very many food options, but tasted very good.
Clean room, AC worked well, good food at tavern (elk burger and elk chili were yum), lovely surroundings and very convenient being close to the rim to hike around and down. Definitely recommend being in the lodge versus being in the town.
Ya api Lodge was an excellent choice for our 4 night stay at the canyon. The Lodge has a great central location close to all major parks areas. The room was comfortable and clean while the service was friendly and efficient. Yavapi Lodge helped to make this a vacation to remember. Thanks!
Very peaceful yet modern establishment in the village with all amenities located right there. The staff were exceptionally nice and the lodges are well maintained. The grounds were quiet in the evening and the food at the tavern and dining hall was also very good. I definetly reccomend.
The amenities were access to the Grand Canyon and elk roaming around. It is soo quiet and peaceful on the grounds!! The restaurant is a Buffett fort breakfast which kept two teen age boys fueled until 3:00 PM.
Yes, it’s a lodge, but a lodge with everything you possibly need including right on the shuttle line to all the Grand Canyon attractions. We especially loved the tavern food and drink with live music on the patio. Slept like a baby in the comfy beds. Shower water pressure was an 11/10.
Yavapai Lodge pros:
Centrally located
Walking distance to free shuttle bus taking tourists all over Grand Canyon
Adjacent to dining and grocery store
Clean but basic rooms
Very convenient free parking
Quiet surroundings
Cons:
Old dated rooms
Carpets worn and need changing
Very small bathroom
Very little storage
Really nice motel rooms right in the Grand Canyon National Park. The rooms are very nice and the beds were comfy. The bathrooms were a little dated, but had all the amenities. Great having the car out front and also little areas to sit and hang out outside the room. The price is also very reasonable for being right in the park.
The staff were really nice, helpful and friendly!

This property is good for families and people who want a comfortable bed and a quite nights sleep, if you don’t have pets then stay in east wing, be prepared to walk a ways to your room. There is a cafeteria and a casual tavern , food is versatile. There is a small cafe with snacks , pastry a store near by. Some nice young men waiters work in cafeteria and Tavern
This is the second time my family has stayed at Yavapai Lodge. It is not on the Canyon Rim, but is in the park - and a short enough nature walk to the rim and everything else. What is so great about it is the General Store and Canyon Outfitters, and the Restaurant, Tavern, and Coffee Stop in the main building. The food, prepared for quite a substantial number of diners at every meal time, is really good and well priced. Accommodations are not like the El Tovar (we have stayed there, too), but then, neither is the price.
We travel a lot, hike and camp, and stay at accommodations at all levels, We've never been disappointed here in any way.
