Clean room, AC worked well, good food at tavern (elk burger and elk chili were yum), lovely surroundings and very convenient being close to the rim to hike around and down. Definitely recommend being in the lodge versus being in the town.
Really nice motel rooms right in the Grand Canyon National Park. The rooms are very nice and the beds were comfy. The bathrooms were a little dated, but had all the amenities. Great having the car out front and also little areas to sit and hang out outside the room. The price is also very reasonable for being right in the park.
The staff were really nice, helpful and friendly!

This property is good for families and people who want a comfortable bed and a quite nights sleep, if you don’t have pets then stay in east wing, be prepared to walk a ways to your room. There is a cafeteria and a casual tavern , food is versatile. There is a small cafe with snacks , pastry a store near by. Some nice young men waiters work in cafeteria and Tavern
Room was clean and staff was nice. Had a great buffet breakfast, was $20 a person though. Only thing I have a grievance about is the shower. Could not really figure out the shower, had to pull on the knob and twist it around till it started working correctly. Other than that, loved being in the park close to the shuttles
Unless I wasn't told, there aren't really any amenities like a gym or pool. And if there are those things, then I just wasn't informed. The property itself is wonderful, especially being out there in the middle of trees. It was close to the visitation center and the free shuttle transportation cannot be highlighted enough. I wish a few more things/benefits were provided by the lodge itself for booking with them, but I understand why its not. Food/breakfast buffet was priced at a rate you'd expect but everyone was really nice.

I want be clear. The only reason to stay here is for the convenience of staying inside the park. You will get Motel 6 accommodations at a Marriott price. The bed was comfortable enough and the room was clean, but expect no more. The aerator in the sink sprayed all over the place and when I called the front desk to have it replaced, you would’ve thought I asked for a room remodel. The staff was pleasant, but obviously limited in what they can and will do for guests.
It's a lodge, so keep tpir expectations aligned with that. The room was clean, yhe beds comfy, & you have control ofnthe temp of your room. There is no microwave, but thereb s a mini fridge. The bathroom could use some seriois updating. The hot and cold water is reversed on the tub/shower. There is no sink counter. New headboards for the beds. Overall, it was fine.

Our room was very dark and dated but clean. On our 2nd day they changed the towels but didn’t make the bed. The Tavern Restaurant was a disappointment. Very crowded. We ate outside and liked the fire pit. They brought our queso & chips right away but it took a very long time to get our chicken quesadillas. They only had just a few pieces of chicken in them and were just lukewarm. The waiter was very nice and tried hard to give good service. We ate the breakfast buffet the next day. Food was good there but expensive.
We had a good stay at Yavapai. We were in Yavapai East, second floor. Be aware - no elevator, or at least we did not see one. Our room was fairly large and comfortable. Decor is somewhat dated. Love the location, and the market area offered a lot of options for food, and shopping in the General Store, if needed.
The lodge we stayed at was clean and a short walk to the general store, dining area and shuttles. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. The General store was convenient to get some groceries. Our only complaint was the service at Yavapai Dining Hall. We went there on a Monday night, placed the orders then waited for an hour. The dishes didn't come until we complained. It could use more staff to accommodate the volume of customers.

Great Staff, Property is a 15 minute walk from the Grand Canyon but there are shuttles that take you to the different points about every 10-15 minutes. Super convenient. Bed was comfortable, room was adequate, like any travel lodge, nothing fancy but a clean stay. Would definitely go back to Yavapai Lodge.
Tavern with long waiting time for food as expected over Memorial Day weekend but the general store next door was convenient. The room was clean and quiet with a very comfortable bed. Relaxing place to stay. Would recommend.

Rooms meet bare minimum needs. Very old and could update the bathrooms. It was okay but wouldn’t stay here again. Staff was very nice though

This reminded me of dorms. The room was fine. I declined housekeeping upon check-in, but decided the next day that we needed it. I called the front desk to advise we did need it and he said he’d put us on list for next day. We returned to our room that day and we had not received housekeeping. The end door to the building was always propped open. We had a moth problem at our previous hotel and we spotted moths in the hallway.
The staff was nice and it was a quiet location
However once again Expedia was not as truthful in the description. It was not close to the rim of the canyon, you needed to take the shuttle and breakfast was not included as we thought.
We enjoyed staying right in the park. As the buildings were spaced out, you felt that you were part of the environment, not staying in one huge hotel. I appreciated how the lighting was dim so the night sky could be enjoyed.
