Ameristar Casino Hotel Vicksburg

"The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. There was no breakfast offered in the morning so don’t expect that luxury and on top of that the Casino is across the Street from the hotel itself and down a huge hill overlooking the Mississippi River. On the bright side the hotel had a shuttle that took you to the casino which was nice and you were right across the river from Louisiana which was another perk for anyone who likes going to multiple states located nearby. No food near the hotel in case you had kids with you. Don’t count on them being able to go to the 2 Restaurants that were kid friendly and allowed inside the Casino because the lack of food close to the hotel. The nearest food is the next exit before the Casino which has a 24hr Burger King that’s it though. I don’t want to knock this Casino/Hotel because the room was very nice but there wasn’t much around it to make it a winner for us. Still enjoyed the stay and nice view of the Mississippi River plus the outdoor pool was nice to have in case we wanted to utilize it."

"Had a nice sleep. Bed was great. Bar left a lot to be desired and food was mediocre. I ordered the butterflied shrimp and got frozen un-butterflied half cold basket to boot. Not impressed with your kitchen or bar staff."
