"Due to a family emergency on a recent trip to Boston (3+weeks in Boston Children’s Hospital NICU) a planned stay with this hotel needed to be cancelled. Despite several days advanced notice of our inability to make the reservation, this Best Western declined to waive the reservation charge. This was not a random decision change, this was a family medical emergency that required our presence. This is nothing short of cold, callous, gouging…at a time of great family turmoil! A frequent traveler, I will never again frequent this establishment or any other Best Western property.
I will also mention that Hotels.com did next to nothing to advocate for us, or as a matter of good corporate policy, refund this reservation when Best Western refused to help.
I would suggest avoiding Best Western properties or using Hotels.com as your travel aggregator. Neither of the companies are truly supportive of their customers."
"The elevator and hallways were not up to par and worried me a little (scuffed walls, bumpy carpet, small pieces of trash). But, the room was nice and comfortable and clean. I appreciated the little extras that I have missed in other hotels lately such as a pen and note paper and water bottles. Very friendly staff."
"booked a room with a jacuzzi. i was really looking forward to it but it was leaking when i tried to use it. I was asked to turn it off and maintenance would get to it the next day. maintenance never got to fixing it during my stay and I didnt get to use what i payed for"
"NOWHERE on Expedia, the company website, nor the property website does it mention a SECURITY DEPOSIT. We booked a room at this location because we were short on money. When we got there we were told that we would need to pay a security deposit AND THE ROOM WE BOOKED WAS NON REFUNDABLE. NOT INFORMING OF A SECURITY DEPOSIT ON ANY OF THE WEBSITES AND THEN PEOPLE NOT BEING ABLE TO GET REFUNDS IF THEY DONT WANT TO STAY IS DECEITFUL AND BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE. BUT WAIT...THERE'S MORE!
The room...where to start...they should have invested the money used in their lobby to renovate the rooms and hire staff who actually clean. The room had dried food and other disgusting stains on EVERY wall. The two lamps had torn and very damaged lampshades. The carpet was threadbare. The SHEETS were dirty so we ended up sleeping on top of the blankets fully clothed with our shoes still on...BUT...the bathroom...stains and dried substances on the walls AND ALSO if you looked up, someone urinated on the ceiling AND IT WASN'T CLEANED UP. The floor had mold where there should be grout. There was a line of mold instead of grout where the tub met the floor. There were gross stains in the tub and black mold on the ceiling above the tub. The toilet did NOT flush and toilet paper? HALF OF A ROLL. The health department needs to be informed of this mess.
WE DEMAND OUR MONEY SPENT ON THIS "ROOM" INCLUDING THE DEPOSIT."
"Amazing stay from start to finish! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, the location was perfect, and everything exceeded expectations. Would definitely stay here again!"
