"This is absolutely a prime case of not judging a book by its cover. We weren't sure what to expect and to be honest when we approached we were quite skeptical. The outside of the property/building needs a lot of TLC which, given how wonderful the inside of the room was I'm sure is "on the list" for them to tend to. So don't be put off but your first impression.
Inside, the rooms are clean and very comfortable. Completely remodeled and updated. They do not feel at all like typical hotel rooms, much more homey. Everything from "non-hotel type" towels, pillows and linens, "non-hotel type" fixtures and decor. It all adds to a feeling of staying at someone's home rather than in a typical hotel.
7 min walk to one of the best naturalized hot springs we've found in the area state - and we've visited several so far. Side note - the hot springs are open 24hrs and during our late visit felt completely safe (regularly patrolled by law enforcement). Great food options in town which is full of such friendly people. This was our second time back and we'll be back again and again for sure.
Road tripping from Alberta, Canada. Saratoga is a secret gem that I'm sure many overlook because they judge a book by it's cover."
