Very old pub/guesthouse that needs updating. That said, the room was comfortable and bathroom was a good size. We arrived late and after the dining room had closed, but the owner offered to cook us a meal, which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was also cooked to order and delicious. We seemed to be the only guests there at the time. Plenty of on site parking.

What a great place to stay, we extended our stay with an extra night. Rooms are big, very clean and cosy. Just what we were looking for on our trip trough GB! Friendly welcome, we could ask everything. The dinner menu was the best we had untill now, every evening it was treat. The Haugh hotel felt like a safe, cosy home immediately! We could have stayed even longer and would really recommend.

Clean, comfortable room. Breakfast xelent +. Exterior lets the Haugh down. Hosts helpful. More to the area than expected. Value VG > XL

We had a pleasant stay at The Haugh, the rooms were clean and our meals were very good. There was not a lot of atmosphere probably due to the fact that there was only one more guest staying there.

Lovely and clean room, very friend welcome from Sue, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Sue was also very accommodating with our late arrival and fitting us in for dinner at a late hour. We will definitely be back. Note: lorries do use the road outside the front of the hotel but the secondary glazing in our room was very effective.

La señora muy amable, nos preparó un desayuno estupendo. La habitación de 4 personas muy amplia, las camas muy cómodas y limpias . En la habitación habia para hacerte todo tipo de bebidas, y en el pasillo tenia juegos de mesa y libros de entretenimiento. Deberia de renovar el papel de las paredes que estaba un poco despegado

A Great Stay in a Wonderful Hotel.

This little hotel was a delightful surprise...very comfortable, clean, and helpful and friendly lady who looked after all our needs and served a delicious breakfast..the location was a bit out of the way but nice and quiet..easily accessible..

Echt zwaar verouderd. Entree is vies en er hangen allerlei geurtjes op de gangen en in de kamer. Bedden waren wel schoon en liggen lekker.

look beyond the outside

So the outside dose not look that great. The owners where great host and are doing the place up as and when they can. The food was perfect and the range of drinks to go with it was too. The hotel is an old one and the wood floors makes a noise as you walk around, but the location was great just a few minutes from Grantown -on - Spey, your on the main road A 95 Aviemore - Keith, part of the Malt Whisky trail, but it was so quiet it was great. Will be back again when in this area.

From the outside the hotel is looking a little tired, but the rooms are nice and very clean and the owners were fantastic.

I arrived early but was welcomed. My room was large and comfortable with a large new Toshiba television on which I was able to receive BBC2 and watch the first night of the proms. I had gammon and egg for supper. Every care was taken to make my stay pleasant

Enigszins afgelegen karakteristieke Inn

Karakteristieke Inn. Vriendelijke ontvangst. Ruime kamer incl. comfortabele zithoek en goed uitzicht. Ruime badkamer. Lounge ruimte in de bar + nette ontbijtzaal. Goed ontbijt. Typisch Engelse vloerbedekking + wandbekleding (niet onze smaak). Gezien het hoge prijsniveau in Schotland, redelijk geprijsd.

Ignore outside as rooms/bar fine

Don’t let the outside put you off! Run by a lovely couple who are friendly and helpful. Our room (no6) was a fair size with new bathroom containing shower. The bed was comfy and there was plenty tea/coffee provided. Rooms are upstairs and there is a bar downstairs with food available daily. Breakfast was included and was lovely, cereal, toast, yoghurts, juice, full breakfast or porridge. Location is a £10 taxi journey to Grantown-on-Spey and there is nothing near the hotel except houses. A bus runs 3 times a day to Grantown-on-Spey but never used it. Would definitely return if in area.
