"We felt sorry for the clerk at the desk she was alone and seemed overwhelmed. Maybe need to have more than one person on staff if not for help at least for safety "
"The only complaint I have regarding the inside of the hotel is the very strong smell of cigarettes. Everyone smokes right outside of the door and when the door opens it comes on in and carries into the halls. I’ve stayed here many times and this was the worse it has been. The outside could use some grass instead of weeds, but I guess that would raise the price."
"We were there for about 10 hours - mostly just to sleep. Staff was very friendly. Check-in was easy. Parking was plentiful. Beds were comfortable. Had a fridge, microwave, and hygiene items. We wished it had a coffee pot in the room. The TV screen seemed broken - the coloring was distorted. The toilet had a pretty weak flush. Appreciated the continental breakfast, though the juice was warm. Overall was worth it for the price and what we needed it for."
"The front desk staff was helpful.
The hotel is just run down and not very clean. There was a lot of dirty surfaces and floors in our room. The lamps didn’t work, either.
The breakfast left much to be desired. The cereal bins were empty, and the only protein options (scrambled eggs and sausage patties) were not good at all. I ended up with a packet of oatmeal, which is fine, but I’d have preferred a protein option that tasted decent. The kids enjoyed the waffle iron.
Overall, it sufficed for one night. But, there are many other options in Paducah and I’ll be choosing one of those my next pass through. "
"Not a great breakfast selection. I had a banana and yogurt, but my husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy.
The lobby looked nice. Very clean.
We were traveling with our dog, and I assume we were in a "dog room." 224. The room was tired. Paint scraped up, bedding was old, old couch with terrible thin mattress. My son slept there. Every time he moved, it squeaked like crazy, and there were no extra pillows or blankets other than the light blanket that was folded up on it. We didnt realize that until very late when we were going to sleep.
My real complaint was the mattress was terrible! SUPER firm!! OMG! My back was killing me. And the pillows were so flat! They looked ok, but had nothing to them, so my head went right down to the mattress. Not conducive to a good rest.
On the upside, the air conditioner worked GREAT! Many hotels never allow you to really cool the room. This was fantastic!!
All in all, probably would not stay here again, as there are multiple hotels nearby, but it wasnt dreadful. "
