"My wife and I stayed 3 nights at Gate Stone Inn, and enjoyed our visit with them. Very friendly staff. We stayed in the Executive King suite. It was very clean and roomy and had kitchenette with full size fridge, microwave, toaster, Keurig machine, dishes and paper towel. Lots of cupboards , sink and counter to eat at. We asked for robes and they brought them to our room. Continental breakfast was; bananas, oranges, apples. Cereal, scrambled eggs, bread, bagels, cream cheese, assorted cookies, pastries, coffee, tea, milk, juices yogurt. Etc. the indoor pool was small and the sides of the pool had bathtub ring around it. We still enjoyed it each evening. The weight room was fine. Only used it once. There is no garden there, and I didn't see a convenience store there. But there was a Foodland grocery store literally in the parking lot. We bought ice cream and snacks there. There is no restaurant in the Inn. Couchitching beach park is a 3 minute drive, and has a nice beach, clear water, walking paths, a fishing dock. My wife caught a small bass. It was very weedy at the fishing dock. We drove to Theo's Eatery and had a great lunch. Reasonably priced, good presentation, and friendly staff."
"One of a few beautiful iconic historic resorts left in Ontario. Only 58 rooms and personal touches ... not a huge hotel. Excellent dinner and location. Large pool and great selection of free activities like shuffle board and volley ball. Minor point ... shower curtain needs to be washed to remove mildew smell. Long covered porch with many outside dining tables. Would have been nice if more of this are was used for traditional lounge chairs to relax and read or talk on hot or rainy days."
"Such a great clean brand new renovation. I stayed on the top floor and the room was fabulous. Also really
Liked the hot tub and the lit up areas out back for relaxing. Easy location to Gravenhurst beach and shops. Staff responded quickly by text and let us check out an hour late."
