"We had a lovely weekend in the Shepherd's hut. Very cosy. It is in a very rural position but only a short drive from Beccles and Bungay- we loved the foodie shops in Bungay and the on-site farm shop.
It was great to pop out in the morning to grab still warm eggs from the chicken coop, and the goats and piglets kept us thoroughly amused. A really relaxing stay."

"The hotel was better than I was expecting and we had a great stay for a good value price. The only criticism would be that we had a balcony room and it was a bit disappointing being very small and adjacent to some ducting. If I returned I wouldn’t bother with a balcony room!"
"Excellent staff. Ideal parking. Good breakfast at reasonable cost. Just a pity they dont do evening meals as the sister hotel was a step too far for my husband. However there are plenty good restaurants very near. Would definitely stay again"
"My Premier room had an excellent clean Sea and Sand view, well stocked kettle, mugs tea etc and Bathroom.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner had an extensive choice of high quality content of taste and flavours.
The Gyn offered high quality equipments also included for Free in the Room was excellent
The staff were excellent friendly and helpful. The Air Conditioning and WiFi available throughout the hotel essential in this hot weather and all things available on mobile phone or iPads."
"Over all, the stay was a pleasant one. This was due to the location of the Hotel, it was perfectly placed near to the seafront and local shops. However the Rooms themselves were not as well set. We didn’t spot a lift, so if you’re not physically fit I wouldn’t recommend stopping here. The stairs were not a problem for us an we enjoyed the exercise. The room was partitioned off into two sections which I found very good indeed but the mattress wasn’t comfortable and booked for two nights we decided to change rooms, but then the mattress in the new room was even worse so before moving our stuff we declined the room change and made do with the previous room. There was a plug socket that just wouldn’t let you plug anything into it. So the whole time this meant we had unplug the Tv to either charge things. This didn’t bother me as I don’t go on holiday to watch Tv but other family members got upset at times. I felt sorry for other people staying below our room because the floorboards were creaking under every step that we made. The paint on the walls was flaking away in room too. Shower and bathroom/ toilet were adequate. Staff were friendly, he tried his best even though we didn’t see very many staff. There were builders outside our room but they didn’t cause any disturbances but this was a weekend stay. So I’ll leave that to your judgment. Overall I enjoyed the stay because I can’t stress enough that to location was PERFECT! Tip* Arrive early for Free Parking and don’t move!"
