Excellent experience, host Sue and Tony, couldn't do enough for you, really nice couple. Room we stayed in was a double with ensuite facilities, very clean and comfortable. Stayed 3 nights, price included breakfast and parking permit. Breakfast was excellent, all sorts, cereal, cooked breakfast, continental, etc. Easy walking distance to beach and shops. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Excellent stay
Arrived at the Shrewsbury after a very long journey. Was greeted by sandie who was friendly and nothing was any trouble for them. She showed us to room which was very well equipped and extremely clean. We had the four poster suite which was beautiful. Breakfast was fantastic served by Tony who was always very friendly and always found time for a chat offering a wide range which filled us up till the evening. Would definitely stay there again and will be recommending the Shrewsbury to family and friends

Excellent last minute find
Completely last minute booking so a bit of a pin stick. Obvious upon arrival the owners have a huge pride in this place as the welcome was very warm and everything around the hotel was spotless and immaculate. Our room (3) had a comfy bed and everything you could ask for, special mention for the shower room and the best shower ever! Breakfast deserves all the accolades heaped upon it elsewhere, just about the best I’ve had and all freshly cooked. Stacks of extras available too - all gladly scoffed! Absolutely no criticisms or complaints. I will add that the Shrewsbury can be classed as quite a ‘traditional’ seaside GH. It’s in a quiet location off the main front and does not have a bar so maybe not for you if it’s a rave you’re after. There’s not an on-site car park, but no issues street parking around the corner and the hosts sort you a temporary resident’s permit on arrival. Excellent value for money and would highly recommend.

Great guest house
The hosts were very friendly. The room was spacious with everything you need. You can pre order breakfast, which tasted lovely. You get a front door key so that you can come and go as you please. Overall a great experience.

Sandie and Tony were fantastic hosts who went above and beyond nothing was too much trouble. Hotel was spotlessly clean, we had the junior suite which was very spacious. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and a wide range of choice to suit everyone. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again. 5stars could not fault anything.

Absolutely outstanding service from the minute we pulled up to the minute we departed. Kind friendly and very helpful couple. I would highly recommend the Shrewsbury Guest House to anyone without hesitation.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about our stay in the Shrewsbury Guest House. Tony and Sandie were the most wonderful hosts and most of the other guests had stayed there before, so that in itself is a good recomendation. My wife and I will certainly return to the Shrewsbury in the near future.

Great place to stay
We enjoyed our stay at this Guest House very much. We were given a very warm welcome by Tony and Sandie. Their attention to detail and facilities afforded was amazing. The breakfast was excellent. Being conveniently placed, it was a matter of minutes to the beach and Golden Mile or the town. Small children's park at end of road. Would recommend the Shrewsbury Guest House to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Gt. Yarmouth.

Hotel central for all facilities
Hotel was very central for all facilities and a few minutes from the beach. Owners were very friendly and helpfull. The food was very good with tea and coffee available in the lounge. We would go back without hesitation and would recommend it as an excellent B &B

Fantastic guest house its immaculate rooms are big bathrooms are the best ive ever seen food is unbelievable location is brilliand four minute walk to sea front and centre of yarmouth parking is easy you get a permit from them so lets you park free.sandie and tony are simply the best hosts ive ever met.how they get everything so perfect is beyond belief .thankyou so much zoltan and caroline

Lovely!
Lovely, comfortable, clean and friendly guest house. We were made to feel very welcome. As a single parent this was our third visit and I have always felt safe, welcomed and my children have loved it. Very child friendly. Breakfast choice and quality was fantastic. The owner even picked us up from the station and took us back. We will definately be having a forth visit!

Fantastic Guest House & Owners,in a great location
We had a wonderful weekend stay here. The owners are very friendly & welcoming. The room we stayed in was very comfortable, warm, & we had everything we could possibly need. It's in a nice, quiet location too. Breakfast was very tasty & so filling, we didn't need lunch! We've stayed in several places in Great Yarmouth in the past, but we found this to be the best one so far. We will return. The only downside was that I don't think they took my severe pig meat intolerance seriously & it made me very ill. I wish people wouldn't fake allergies or intolerances, as this is what causes all this disbelief & people end up being made more seriously ill, or, God forbid, end up in hospital!

It was the little touches that made it so special. The coffee offered on arrival from a lovely hostess. To the scissors to open the ketchup packets. Everything was clean and comfortable.

A very warm welcome from Sandie & Tony. Great few days stay at The Shrewsbury with welcome attention to detail, such as good quality toiletries, branded in-room refreshments and nice biscuits. Added bonus that they did vegetarian full english breakfast. The whole place was spotlessly clean and in good order. Would definitely stay again if back in the area.

If you want great accommodation in Great Yarmouth you need look no further than The Shrewsbury Guest House. Owners Tony & Sandie made us feel at home, they are so friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the magnificent breakfast set us up for the entire day! Enjoy!

The twin room was set out well, with everything you could possibly need and more, very clean and bathroom was also immaculate. The hosts were lovely and went out of their way to ensure our experience was memorable. Breakfast was amazing and I will be coming back next year as the position is perfect for accessing the town and the beach.

Fantastic stay at the Shrewsbury!
Just back from three nights at the Shrewsbury and my boyfriend and I couldn't find fault with anything! Sandie and Tony have everything covered for a wonderfully relaxing stay and are the perfect hosts. Lovely room/bathroom and amazing king sized bed! We were in room 4. Fantastic breakfasts and great location with easy access to all that Great Yarmouth has to offer. Thank you again for allowing us to check in so late and a special thank you for the lift back to the station. We hope to return!

A Relaxed Weekend
We stayed at the Shrewsbury on a 'get away and relax' weekend after the gloom of January and most of February. The guest house is very clean throughout and its hosts Sandie and Tony were exceptionally welcoming. Breakfast is of a very high standard with a great deal of choice, most of it sourced from local tradesmen and comes in generous sized portions. Our rom was spacious and spotlessly clean and we loved sitting in the bay window of a morning with a cup of coffee, people watching as we woke up slowly. Overall we had a lovely weekend and would definitely recommend this guest house to others.

Great hotel
Tony and Sandie are a lovely couple and make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. The hotel is very clean and the rooms comfortable. But the star attraction is Sadie the waitress,she is a real card and had us in stitches at breakfast. Would definitely return to this hotel and recommend to anyone.

I found this accommodation through tripadvisor and it had great reviews. I can only agree. It was a great stay. Woul recommend it anytime. We got a big new room with a big new bad and ensuit bathroom. The breakfast was good and plenty.

The owners were very friendly, welcoming and helpful and the 4-poster suite we stayed in was, although small as you might expect at a rowhouse b&b, quite lovely. Breakfast was good and particularly great for my vegetarian partner - full english inc veggie sausages and veggie bacon. would happily stay again.

Shrewsbury Guest House - Perfect B & B
We spent one night but wished it was longer. The owners made us feel very welcome and were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was smallish but perfectly clean and had everything that we could want. The toiletries were excellent (much better than average). Breakfast was fabulous (and huge). Definitely recommend this B & B to anyone visting Great Yarmouth.

Lovely hosts - I'd stay again!
Sandie was a charming hostess; she organised parking quickly and efficiently, was nothing but lovely to my 11 and 13 year old sons, and made sure we had everything we needed. Tom was lovely at breakfast - no breakfast request was too fussy, and service was terrific. Set in a very residential street, it was nevertheless barely a minute's walk from the beachfront, restaurants, amusements and arcades, etc., and opposite a lovely small green. The twin-roomed family suite on the top floor was perfect for our needs, though a bigger bathroom would have been nice. The shower is tiny but as it was absolutely spotless I was happy. Tom and Sandie are lovely people and I hope they continue on for many years to come.
