This is a unique and beautiful accommodation. As a cave room, it is spacious and nice. We had enough space to spread out, and the kids enjoyed the soaking tub up the rooftop. The owner is nice and accommodating. It's walkable around Fira.

Really unique experience sleeping in the cave! I was disappointed the hot tub was not working yet in March. The caretaker is lovely and very attentive. Would recommend if you have access to transportation.

We had a group of 5 ladies staying here. First - the villa is unique and beautiful. I’ve never stayed in a property such as this. Historic and lovely. Problems arose with hot water, A/C, and WiFi, but you’re staying in a cave. This was understanble and our host was there to assist. Shower water pressure was great. I would recommend this villa. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to downtown Fira.

We loved our stay at Aura caves. It was perfect for our party of five. Easy walking distance to the best bars and restaurants and our host gave us many great recommendations.

I enjoyed my stay here, very spacious and beautiful place! There was Wi-Fi, a pool, the staff is outstanding! There's a Blue Top directly in front of the house that's perfect for pictures, overall an excellent experience, I highly recommend staying here!

Aura Caves was great from check in to check out. The apartment is exactly as advertised. Beds we’re comfortable and having the plunge pool was amazing. The check in was great - the gentleman who checked us in was very knowledgeable and helpful and he was very responsive every time I reached out to him. He arranged a transfer to the port for us and even allowed us to leave our bags at their offices after check out so we didn’t have to carry them around until our late afternoon ferry. Location was great - very close to everything you would need. The only downside was that there is only one AC unit and it is in the main living area so if you close the doors to the bedrooms (like we did overnight when we were sleeping) the bedrooms and their bathrooms get warm, but it wasn’t unbearable and wouldn’t even be an issue if you’re not traveling when AC is needed.

The two bedroom cave was great for the family and we all loved our private outdoor pool. Walking into town was a 2 minute walk to restaurants and 5 minute walk to all the shops. Host was great at arranging car pickups and reservations.

Overall it was good. May be little difficult to find. Walkable distance to the downtown and close to restaurants and a grocery store. You have to drive or have a taxi to reach beaches and Oia. I believe it’s family owned business and they were very nice and responsive.

This place is exactly as shown in the pictures. I’ve never slept better! The cave was cozy. We had sufficient hot water. The pool is upstairs above the apartment with a small seating area. The pool is small but the water was too cool due to temperatures. The area was great! Lots of shopping and dining options close by. Our host arranged our excursions and airport/SeaJet excursions. I definitely recommend !

It was a great experience. Room, pool, deck were clean and in excellent condition. Read some other comments about pool not being clean but for us it was cleaned a few times during our stay, and quite honestly didn’t really need it. The hotel was a short walk to all the shops and restaraunts and the view of the caldera. There was a new restaraunt called Tholotos that was just up the hill from Aura, great food/view/value, had breakfast there 3 times. It was very cool and interesting to be in a cave and you could really feel that it was a unique and different type of lodging and an experience to be there. Some of the ceiling were a bit low, but that’s to be expected in a cave.

Excellent property and Enrik was great to work with. Some might feel claustrophobic in the smaller of the two rooms, but I thought it was quite cozy. The suite we were in had a small built in bed for a child. Overall, clean property and a cool ambience. Enrik booked transportation for us to and from the airport as well.

Quirky comfortable accommodation in great location
We chose this location due to the uniqueness of staying in a cave house. We weren't disappointed as it was quirky and comfortable. The bed were large and comfortable with a bathroom for each bedroom with rain shower head. The outside area was good with views out to sea and even though it is not on the main caldera it didn't disappoint. Our host was always available via phone or WhatsApp and he arranged our transfers and gave local recommendations. The room was cleaned every 2 days with clean towels and bedding. In summary week worth the visit and definitely a benefit being away from the more crowded areas of Fira.

The owner couldn't have been nicer. He was there to greet us with wine and juice and snacks. He sat with me to explain the island and where we should go. He helped with transfers on the island. And when my daughter left her iPad in Santorini when we left, he arranged for it to get to us in Mykonos. He was wonderful and the accommodations were fabulous. I would absolutely recommend this location.

Best stay ever!!
It was our best stay ever! The amenities were well designed and this place is one of its kind. It was a unique experience to stay in a cave with modern amenities. Lazaros, our host, made our stay and visit really stress free and showed us the best scenic spots on the island. We highly recommend this place and would certainly visit again! Thank you!!

Aura Caves Santorini
My friends and I recently booked this place for our Greece Tour...The host Grigoris was an absolute star, even before we reached his place. He responded promptly to the questions we asked, and even gave us a few pointers.. We were welcomed with warm, open hands and his family was absolutely amazing. The place was to die for, spacious and very neat and in close proximity to everything. I would recommend this place at any given time. Thank you for the hospitality, it was a pleasure staying at your place and thank you for everything and the ride to the airport.

Fantastic stay with a wonderful host! The suite was spacious, comfortable, and incredibly unique. The architecture was beautiful and nothing like we had ever seen before. Our hot tub also had an amazing sunrise view. Additionally, Grigoris and Natalie were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. From the moment we landed, they never ceased to look after all our needs as travelers and tourists. Furthermore, they provided great recommendations during our time in Santorini. Grigoris recommended spots and routes to get the best experiences and views without all of the tourist hustle and bustle. His restaurant recommendations were also some of the best meals we had on the island. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the island and truly cares about his customers. Would absolutely recommend to friends and family, and would definitely stay again!

We can't wait to return!
This is excellent accommodation. It's unusual in that you will be sleeping in a cave. So naturally cool (there was no need for using the aircon), and with beautifully constructed showers and a small kitchen with a decent size fridge. Just lovely. It was quiet at night however it's just a five minute walk from the centre of bustling Fira. I must also say how wonderful the host Grigoris is. He welcomed us on arrival, checked in with us regularly and nothing was too much trouble. His personal recommendation of places to visit was perfect for our 4 nights stay. I highly recommend a stay at Aura Caves and we are looking forward to being there again ourselves.

This is a long overdue review for this excellent spot, great location. Beautiful place , it was a surprise for my kids and i couldn't be happier with the results, just the look on their faces was priceless. The hosts were great, helped us with transportation from airport to hotel, our flight arrived very early and he was kind enough to take us to some beaches until check it time, gave us some tips and suggestions that we really appreciated.This was our first visit to Santorini and we had a blast. Santorini Cave w/ Private Pool & Incredible Hosts
The stay here was amazing! Choose this place if you’re looking to visit Santorini. All the bars, shops, restaurants and rentals are within walking distance. The hosts were really kind, they picked us up and dropped us off. They greeted us with wine and dessert. They even went as far as buying us gyros on the way to the stay. The aura caves is two rooms only and either room you rent has it’s private pool. The room itself is spacious, beautifully decorated and in Santorini style. I would definitely stay here again, the hosts are incredible and we couldn’t have imagined staying anywhere better.

Thoroughly recommend this amazing property.Spacious and beautiful in a great location.Hosts are fantastic-friendly,helpful and go out of their way to make sure you have a fabulous stay. Caves are full of extra personal little touches and the roof top terrace with pool is a brilliant space to chill out.
