Only a 15 minute walk to the heart of Old Town, this delightful hotel is situated right on a marvelous long sandy beach, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. The patroness, Eva, and her staff are courteous and enthusiastic to please. Delicious breakfast and appetizers are served daily.

Eva is a very welcoming host in her hotel. Location is just what we wanted. Right by the sea with the sound of waves on the shore. Excellent breakfasts with special items each day.

Lovely hotel - recommended
Just back from Filoxenia. A lovely hotel that I am missing already. It has everything one could want. Its right on the beach and all comforts are provided. Our duplex room was great too. Snacks and cocktails are tasty and available. Don't miss the milkshakes! Eva was lovely and helped us plan our trip. Hector the dog kept an eye on things. Only negative and rather odd point was that the cleaning lady made our beds just once in 4 days. Soon sorted out once we mentioned it to Eva.

Nice hotel on the beach
The hotel is small and very welcoming. All the rooms face on the beach, with balconies, and there is a lovely view of the Venetian fortress about 2 km away. The room furnishings are simple but modern and clean. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of food, some cooked in house. There is a small pool, and parking for about 4 cars next door. If your car is a large one, however, you will find the entrance a tight fit. There are some very nice restaurants within a short walk.

Good room, nice pools, close to beach
Had a pleasant stay until we tried to get out of the steep driveway and scraped the edge of a truck while trying to avoid being hit by another car. Eva was very helpful and assisted us dealing with the car rental company and insurance representative.

Very friendly family-run hotel
This small family-run hotel was on the beachfront on the quieter side of town. It was just a short walk to the Old Town. The room was nice and airy with a balcony overlooking the sea. There is a terraced area adjoining the beach with plenty of sunbeds / seating. Eva, the manager, was very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for something more secluded than the more crowded long beach and row of hotels this may well suit you.

Perfect and relaxing
This hotel is wonderful, positioned right on the beach with lovely views plus a good walk into the old town. The size of the hotel means you can enjoy the weather and culture without the noise and business. Eva is a wonderful host and would recommend anyone to follow her recommendations for dinner or places to visit. The rooms have plenty of room and are cleaned daily, breakfasts are lovely with always something different to try and her little dogs adds lots of character. Only negative would be the big slope into the car park which made for an interesting start to the first journey we did but this is the only flaw (and absolutely a liveable one) in otherwise a perfect stay.

As for the parking you mentioned it is kind tricky to go down.. it must be in the driving test for getting a license, but that's why we also have parking exact opposite the entrance of Filoxenia, which is a lot easier. Best of the best!!!
Wonderful service, went above and beyond. Unique accommodation, great refreshing pool (saltwater) great sunbeds. Breakfast was very enjoyable!!! The beach was great for swimming, lovely hotel away from the busy central city area, but a short walk to the historic area of Rethymon. We would love to go back and take our children with us and stay at Filoxena!!! Perfect Service!!

Wonderful stay
We had a brilliant time at Filoxenia. Eva looked after us so well. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a really relaxing time. The breakfast was delicious and the very civilised time of being served until 11 was much appreciated! we had a seaview from our room with a fantastic view of the bay of and the old town. The patio and beach were like a peaceful oasis and the location of the hotel was perfect. It was a 20 min walk into Rethymno which suited us fine. All in all we had a perfect holiday in our little taste of paradise. Thank you so much Eva and Nikos for providing us English ladies with such wonderful memories!

Amazing stay
Stayed for 4 night at Filoxenia Beach. Absolutely lovely rooms with a fabulous sea view and for this price unbeatable. Breakfasts is definitely good and the hotel is like 20min to the old town of Rethymnon. If you have a rental car, even better as parking space is available and it is close to the motorway. The family who is running the hotel is just fabulous; they will take care of you and assistant as much as they can.

An excellent balcony view, 20 metres from the sea! Hotel staff all very helpful. 20 mins walk to the old town. plenty of restaurants and shops within 5 mins walk. All good, and great value for the price

Great value-for-money hotel with superb sea views
This is a great and modern hotel with fantastic views of the Rethymno castle. It has a cosy swimming pool, comfortable rooms, and superb spots to enjoy the sea views and grab a snack. It's directly on the beach too, and has parking spots for 4 cars. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The hotel is run by a family, and they are very involved in the day-to-day business, greeting the guests and so on. The only slight drawback is that some rooms on the ground floor are close to the road, which is bustling with activity and tends to be a bit noisy. You can always ask for an interior room though. They hotel is good value for money, and I highly recommend it.

Hotelli merenrannalla ja kaikista huoneista on upea merinäköala. Pieni perheomisteinen hotelli jossa 10 huonetta. Eva omistaja oli todella ystävällinen ja avulias❤️. Huomioitavaa vaikka hotelli on merenrannalla se sijaitsee todella vilkkaan tienvarrella joka johtaa keskustaan. Kiva matka vanhaan kaupunkiin eli käveltävissä. Auton sai parkkiin n.200n hotellista olevalle yleiselle parkkipaikalle. Aamiainen oli Ok. Hinta/laatusuhde Ok. Voisimme mennä uudestaan. Jos et etsi luksusta, suosittelen.

Décevant
Petit hotel situé sur une plage de galets, la plage de sable et les boutiques sont de l'autre cote de la ville. Personnel sympatique, chambre correcte bien qu'au même tarif on puisse trouver un peu plus grand. Gros point noir la salle de bain tellement petite qu'un lave main fait office de lavabo, qu'il est difficile de se pencher dans la douche tellement elle est etroite, le gel gel est a l'exterieur au dessus des WC puisque la douche est trop petite pour qu'il y soit a l'interieur. Après etre douche en faisant attention toute la salle de bain est inondé puisqu'il n'y a pas de porte /rideau de douche (trop exiguë). La terrasse est aussi minuscule l'etendoir est au dessus du moteur de clim donc juste pour mettre maillots, chaussettes sinon la serviette frotte sur le moteur, un petite table et 2 chaises ou il faut ne plus bouger une fois installé. Le parking a 300 mette est en fait un terrain vague.

Wir hatten 10 sehr schöne Tage bei Hector und seinem Team. Die Terrasse zum Frühstücken direkt am Meer ist einfach fantastisch. Jeden Morgen gab es frische Früchte, Eierspeisen und Gebäck. Eva hat für bei Fragen jederzeit geholfen und Tips für Ausflüge gegeben. Rethymno kann man gut zu Fuß erreichen. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt.

Vi hade det väldigt bra på Kreta. Hotellet Filoxenia Beach var fantastiskt. Ett litet hotell med fantastisk personal. Hotellet är beläget alldeles vid stranden så man äter sin frukost mer eller mindre på stranden. Rekommenderar detta lilla hotell varmt. Nära till centrum i Rethymno och hotellet är beläget på den västra sidan av staden vilket gör att det är lite lugnare. Vill man ej gå till Centrum tar man bussen.

Wir haben 2 Wochen im filoxenia Beach Hotel verbracht. Besonders gut hat uns der sehr hilfsbereite Service gefallen. Die Lage ist bezaubernd. Direkt am Strand und eine tolle Aussicht auf die Altstadt. Es gab immer genug Sonnenliegen und Schirme, auch Badetücher wurden täglich frisch gestellt. Das Hotel hat ca. 10 Zimmer dennoch gab es ein abwechslungsreiches Frühstück. Sollten wir noch einmal in der Gegend Urlaub machen würden wir dort wieder einchecken.

Schönes kleines Hotel direkt am Strand. Die Zimmer waren sauber und die Gastgeber lieb und hilfsbereit. Die Straße am Hotel hört man zwar im Zimmer, allerdings ist sie nur tagsüber stark befahren und stört daher nicht beim Schlafen. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit täglich wechselnden Speisen, die man auf der schönen Terrasse direkt am Strand essen kann.

Hôtel surévalué par rapport aux prestation La chambre propre mais lits séparés à l'étage avec un escalier sans main courante. Lors de notre arrivée les draps étaient pliés sur lit, à nous de le faire .... Petit déjeuner déplorable pour les français, pas de viennoiseries, jus d'orange bas de gamme. Parking à peine accessible ne contenant que 2 véhicules ! Aucun stationnement à l'extérieur. Sinon le personnel est très aimable.

Je recommande à 100% excellent petit déjeuner , belle terasse , piscine et plage. Plein de table et de chaise longue pour profiter du soleil. Personnel fantastique !! das Hotel ist direkt am Meer, daher hört man den ganzen Tag das Meer rauschen, für uns super. Auch die Zimmer sind Meerseitig, wenn die Balkontür offen ist, ist auch in der Nacht das Meeresrauschen zu hören. Wir hatten die Suite im 1. Stock,durch die offene Bauweise hört man ab und zu leichtes Motorengeräusch, von der hinter dem Haus liegende Straße. Wie es in den anderen Zimmern ist, weiß ich nicht. Wie gesagt, für uns war es nicht störend. Die Besitzer sind super, sehr bemüht. .Das Frühstück ist toll, es war ein wunderschöner, sehr erholsamer Urlaub.

Et c’est tout. Nous avons été accueilli sans plus d’egard et Installé dans une chambre où les lits étaient séparés. Le propriétaire des lieux n’a pas eu la courtoisie de nous demander si cela nous dérangeait. La salle de bain est deprimante. Le bac de douche / de bain est minuscule et il est difficile de se laver sans se cogner contre les murs et par la même occasion mettre de léau partout. Aucun endroit où poser sa trousse de toilette. Savon bas de gamme sans intérêt. Concernant l’équipement il y a une climatisation qui fonctionne bien et la literie est quand même confortable. Nous avons été bercés par les vagues. Le point positif : le petit déjeuner et l’accueil à ce moment là était agréable. Nous avons pris le café en terrasse et profité d’un petit déjeuner continental complet (œufs brouillés bacon grillé croissant fruits ...)

Уютный отель на самом берегу моря
Filoxenia Beach - маленький, уютный, приятный во всех отношениях семейный отель. Расположен прямо на берегу, что, помимо прекрасного вида на крепость Фортецца, дарит шелест прибоя и аромат Средиземного моря прямо в номер. Идеально для отдыха вдвоём. В номерах чисто; электрика,сантехника - всё без нареканий. Отличный сигнал Wi-Fi, даже на пляже, что особенно ценно. Завтраки стандартные, при этом вкусные, со свежими овощами и фруктами. У отеля свой пляж со всем необходимым, своя парковка. Поужинать можно в ресторане одного из соседних отелей, это вообще не проблема, здесь всё рядом. Язык общения - английский. Хозяевам отеля - Еве и Николасу - респект за профессионализм, дружелюбие и гостеприимство.

super Family-Crew und Lage
der kleine Familienbetrieb wird von Eva gemanaged. Sie macht einen hervorragenden Job, ist sehr hilfsbereit und gibt jedem Gast die gute Laune weiter. Das Frühstücksbuffet war täglich liebevoll hergerichtet. Lage des Hotels ist erfekt für Strandgänger, Ausflüge oder Spaziergang nach Rethymno.

Joli petit hôtel, pieds dans l'eau avec vue sur Rethymnon. Bon point de départ pour la découverte de la partie ouest de l'île. Personnel très sympathique et tout est très bien surveillé par Hector, le petit chien de l'hôtel, qui fait ses rondes pour contrôler que tout est en ordre.Très bon petit déjeuner avec gâteau fait maison, pris au bord de la mer. Chambre petite et salle de bain minuscule, mais il y a un petit balcon et une bouilloire à disposition. Nous avons adoré et nous y reviendrons sans hésiter.

Nice and family-run hotel directly on the sea
We felt very much at home in the small beach hotel. It started with the contact from home. Eva has responded quickly to our emails and accurately described to us how we can get in our room despite arriving nightly. Also we have taken their offer to make sandwiches for the first hunger in the room, thanking. And they were really very tasty! The room was big enough for both of us, the direct sea view from the balcony was unbeatable. The bathroom was tight for us, but o. k. Shower gel, shampoo, hair dryer were available. The room was cleaned every day. Bed linen and towels changed very often. Breakfast from 8: 00 until 11: 00 was very good. In addition to the daily standard, the freshly prepared homemade dishes such as tarts, Dakos, scrambled eggs, omelets, cakes and sweets changed every day. During the day, Eva offers some dishes and of course drinks of all kinds at fair prices. We have also enjoyed and were satisfied. We stayed always on our "private beach" for swimming, sunbathing and relaxing. We never went to the big beach in Rethymnon. Why also? We could have it any better! The small beach is never crowded. We drive no car. We could still very well take trips, bus tours and walking tours. Eva has done the reservation of three organized bus trips for us. Everything worked without problems. Also public bus transport works well and on time. Walking to the bus station, there are about 15 minutes. We have already booked the next holiday in this hotel.

Très bon accueil. Hotel à 1/4 d'heure du centre ville à pieds. Proche de restaurant. Chambre confortable, pas de chaine tv en français c'est domage. Petit déjeuner varié et complet. A conseiller sans problème!
