Fantastic Value for Money……

A quick trip to Scotland for the Bank holiday.. We were not disappointed.. Very Friendly and knowledgeable staff who pointed us to a friendly Indian restaurant which was amazing.. Ideal as a base for your visit.. Clean and with breakfast included great value for money. Room was clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed so all in all a very happy stay.. definitely stay again..

No frills hotel with fab service.

The rooms were clean but could have been doing with a bit of an update. The bathroom was nice. The bed was comfortable. What really lifted the rating was the attitude of the staff who couldn't do enough for you. Especially the female member of staff on reception.

Great staff, poor room standard

The hotel is in a real need for a complete refurbishment. We had booked two rooms and on checking in and visiting the assigned rooms, we had change both due to dangerous cracked tiles in the bathroom and a stench of standing water. The staff arranged this very quickly for us and although the second set of rooms were still of pretty shoddy quality, we decided to stay as no other rooms were available in the hotel or nearby hotels. The staff are excellent, very friendly and willing to help which made the visit more bearable but sadly, the quality of accommodation lets the hotel down

The room was clean but the hot water tap in the bathroom had to be turned all the way open to get water from it, the breakfast was good apart from the stale hard bacon.

Nice garden

Very quiet and comfortable! Garden is well managed, squrriels are having their habitus safe and sound! Seeing them playing in the garden makes our stay cheerful.

Excellent value for money. Rooms were very clean and bed comfortable. A bag of clean towels and toilet rolls and tea/coffee etc was provided daily. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and regularly replenished as needed.. Staff were friendly and helpful.

First impression stairwell was a bit scruffy & bathroom had cracked tiles but room was very clean and spacious and had good amenities. Lovely furniture in room. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Good variety at breakfast. Quiet area. Easy walk into Greenock.

Why is it necessary to comment on every aspect of our stay? We were only there for 2 nights, we were very happy with everything, the staff were lovely. Just feeling annoyed now to be filling another survey, after filling o e in just after we arrived. If it was just one smiley face , that would be fine, but to be pestered for a review, and then having to click through several responses feels like a bit over the top.

pathetic stay , very poor standards

lovely basic room , bed comfortable , a very rusty litter bin with not even a bin liner , when I cam back to my room at night , ready for my bed , my room had not been cleaned , no clean towels or more toilet roll , tea , coffee , clean cups etc , when I went down to reception the receptionists said , was there not a letter on you bed stating we would only clean your room etc , if I asked for it ??? there was NO letter on my bed , she then said oh ! but did the person who booked you in inform you about this , I said no mention what so ever , , I was given a tray of tea , coffee etc , and took in a plastic bag etc which was lying in the lobby outside my room , very disappointing , also breakfast very poor indeed , no orange juice , when I asked , was there any orange juice please , the waiting staff said , oh trouble with getting supplies delivered ? but there are supermarkets right close by , one in fact ( Morrisons ) just across the road from your hotel / then I thought I would have rice crispies , none ! so again I politely asked if there was any , they again said , problem with supplies , then I went up to have a fry up , no fried eggs , no poached eggs you could order , no mushrooms , no black pudding , only overcooked ( like rubber ) scrambled egg , bacon , sausage and beans , which were not hot , very poor service , I and the folk at my table had to keep asking politely , could they please clear our table to give us a bit room , also only small apples which did not lo

Disappointed with room condition

Disappointing stay. Had several problems with the room which should of really been checked, eventually the room was changed and 2nd room was ok but as it was at the back of the hotel it was very noisy at 7am. The manager was suppoed to of spoken to us but never showed up. After spending a week touring around Scotland and staying in small hotels we were disappointed with a large chain of hotels to have rooms in such poor condition. Will not stay again
