"The motel owners have decorated in alot of rodeo/cowboy/western motif & memorabilia. I found it to be a very comfortable environment. The elderly staff were charming and helpful. The room was ground level & I appreciated that without having to disclose my medical condition of emphysema. The room was clean, but at first there was a strong odor of stale, wet mops...after I turned on the AC, it wasn't noticeable. There was 2 beds...the one nearest the door was a much firmer mattress...the other bed felt like a pillow top, which was more agreeable for me. The TV was a little confusing trying to turn on with the remote...after a few tries, I turned it on manually on the TV itself. When I was leaving the following morning, I turned the set off manually the same way. The remote was useful for Chanel guide & changing the stations. There was enough bath towels, wash cloths for 1 person...that was all of my party anyway. The bathtub/bathroom was clean & sanitary...ready to be used...but I would like to add that the fixtures were antiquated but functioning...the bathtub looked like it had been painted with a paintbrush at some point in its past. The only thing I didn't care for was the people loitering outside their rooms at 10 pm, children walking around the parking lot at that hour (looked to be 5-7 years old)...I did worry about the safety of my locked vehicle overnight...but it was fine the next morning. I would stay there again & I would recommend it to other travelers .."

"Lloyd, the hotel staff member was helpful, friendly, but also respectfully of guest privacy. I called before my arrival because I was not sure if I could arrive around midnight based on my flight time. He was warm, stating "I was expecting your call" and he made me feel welcome and right at home. The bed was super comfortable. From the deer in the yard and being surrounded by tall trees, the place provided the right atmosphere for a relaxing, peaceful stay. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in recharging. The community has everything to offer of a city with a small town feel."
