Staff is awesome! The rooms are old and dingy (even the upgraded rooms). Went there for Labor Day weekend and the hotel is under construction. Even so the rooms are not good. We arrived early morning flight and the staff was simply amazing, We had an early morning checking in and the room they gave us was overpowered by cigarette smell (mind you that we paid for an early check in and we were told this unit was awesome due to view). It was simply horrible. We called right away and they advised that we would need to check out and check back in when a room was available. This is not in any way a representation of staff. We decided to stay in the room because we were obviously exhausted. We went to grab a bite to eat to escape the awful cigarette smell. By the time we got back Jennifer let us know that she had a room available. That was awesome! The new room which was also an "upgrade" was a decent room. We were just happy to get settled in and enjoy NY!. It is conveniently located to everything. It all depends on what is important to you.
