"Great rooms, immaculate, comfortable, air conditioning good when I worked out how to work it. First remote was broken but reception quickly gave me a replacement. Rooms very spacious. Good breakfast selection. They took orders for coffee, the rest was buffet. Very helpful with taxi and directions to chemist due to me being unwell. Beautiful breathtaking views from breakfast table. We would definitely stay here again. Right in centre as well, 20 mins or so walk to the castle, 5 mins from river...

"The hotel is very basic. The room lacks soundproofing, which means we hear every outside sound. At breakfast, only the fruit was tasty. The service from the breakfast staff is good. They are attentive and serve you quickly. The advantage of this hotel is its proximity to the Berat bus station."

"Stayed here for 2 nights and would recommend the place. It is as described in the pictures and was very clean and tidy inside. The host was very responsive to my messages and catered for my late check-in without any issues (I arrived at 11pm). Contact through WhatsApp was efficient and check-out was very straight forward too. I stayed alone, but this would be suitable for 2 people, anymore and you might feel a bit cramped. Parking right outside, lovely clean spacious rooms with such comfortable beds, and even though it is in the middle of everything it is quiet so you get a good nights sleep. "Fantastic hotel with the kindest staff. The location was perfect. The room is clean and the windows were huge! We were awoken to birds chirping in the morning and were surprised to learn they were pet birds kept in cages below our window. Great hotel with easy parking, easy walking distance to the castle. Breakfast is great too. "

If you are looking for quaint little mom and pop type accommodation, then you will want to go a different direction. You can walk to most all attractions Berat has to offer from this location. "

"We had a great time at Te Gjyshi. Located right by the fort and owned by the restaurant, with the same name, that has a long history of serving guests in Berat. The place was newly renovated and the views were better than shown in the pictures. Restaurant served delicious Albanian cuisine and you received a discount for being a hotel guest. For breakfast you didnt get a choice to choose qhat you would like but what they served was again delicious. We especially loved how close we were to the fortress, and the old town was a short distance down hill. Going uphill after a day of exploring is a bit of a work out but manageable. Overall, loved our stay here and would definitely come back. "
