"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. Very clean with good amenities apart from lacking a dishwasher .. which on this occasion was not a problem for us as we only stayed 2 nights and eat out. Easy parking in property’s own car park. Did ask about parking for an extra car but wasn’t too happy about the location or tidiness of this as looked run down with rubbish and nails etc on the ground...

"When we arrived the air conditioning was on in our room and it was so cold. It was cold outside so I have no idea why it had been left on. As you entered the hotel it was so warm then going into our room was very uncomfortable. Staff did come up and said it would take some time to warm up which it did so sadly the only time we really spent in the room it was freezing. Also it was incredibly difficult to get ready. The room was so dark and what lights there were barely lit the room. Even the bathroom was dark. As a woman we do need light to get ready but even my boyfriend found it frustrating. The room was clean and the staff were nice. We went downstairs to sit in the bar and the leg snapped off the sofa so I ended up on the floor! Staff seemed unbothered and just moved the sofa. The room was warm by the time we got back to sleep later so that was something. Breakfast was nice and the staff were friendly enough. Due to the disappointing room I doubt we would return. Plenty of other options in Cheltenham. "
