Castello Vicchiomaggio

"I would absolutely recommend Castello Vicchiomaggio! Our room was magnificent and much larger than anticipated— very clean, had all the extras we needed (hair dryer/iron/etc), and the air conditioning worked great! The property is gorgeous and the view is unbeatable. In addition to visiting the tasting room on the property, we also visited several wineries in the area throughout our stay (Antinori and Castello Verrazzano) and it was a great home base. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant one night (delicious!) and the included breakfast was a great perk. The pool area is also very nice and they provided a pool bag and extra towels in our room to use there. We were also very charmed by the sweet cat that lives on the grounds and the birds (house martins) that were in the area during the time of our stay! The staff was always helpful and kind— I have nothing but great things to say. One warning: our room was on the third floor of the building and there are no elevators. Luckily my husband was with me and able to haul our luggage up the tight stairs. If you have mobility issues, I would recommend asking for a room on a lower floor."

"Amazing stay for a weekend away from Florence. Beautiful, spacious and quiet pool, a fresh and delicious breakfast spread every morning, unbelievable views and gorgeous rooms. They don’t gouge you on extras like bottles of wine by the pool were remarkably inexpensive for their house label, and a lot of extra details were included in the rooms that were well thought out. Loved the self serve honour bar that allows you to grab water, soft drinks, snacks and beer by the pool so you don’t have to wait around to put in your order and be served. The only drawback which would be easy for them to change is the check out is early (10AM) but other than that it was a 10/10 stay!"

"Loved staying at Villa Le Barone during my time in Tuscany. The property is beautiful, and super relaxing. Breakfast was delicious, and the space for breakfast and dinner was very nice. Pool was amazing a well. Would recommend and would stay there again!"

"We had a wonderful experience! The staff was kind and very helpful. Our room was stunning and very spacious for a family of 5! The breakfast was amazing, and all of the activities on site were very fun - we especially enjoyed the cooking class! I would absolutely love to return here. I recommend looking into and booking on-site activities in advance so you can get the most out of your experience!"

"A perfect location for east walks to good food, wine, and local artists for shopping. The square was perfect and there was a beautiful slowness to our stay. The staff were genuinely kind and a delight. They sprinkled smiles on our stay and made our trip exceptional. As a Canadian and Norwegian, the rooms air conditioning was a massive plus!!!"

"This was a wonderful B&B. The room was clean and well appointed. He even had a small kitchenette. The hostess was very helpful and kind. She served us breakfast to order and it was delicious. Such a wonderful garden in which to eat breakfast. The property was located near the edge of town and there were some wonderful walking options to view the beautiful Tuscan countryside"
