Theatre Royal Hotel Kumara
Not as good as when I stayed a couple of years ago. The room wasn’t very clean and the shower gel and shampoo had run out and not been replaced. Was quite musty smelling which wasn’t great for hayfever. Was quite disappointed.

Kumara Historic Cottages - Hostel
At the time of writing, this hotel has a 9.2 on Expedia. That is truly absurd. This hotel is old (they don’t call it “historic” for nothing) and run down (featuring peeling wallpaper, a saggy matress, threadbare carpet and a kitchen that looks like it was built in the 80s). Copthorne Hotel Greymouth
Lovely hotel with great views of the river. Comfortable bed. Very quiet. Excellent water pressure. Very nice staff. We’d love to stay here again.
