"I have first used A&O in Edinburgh when they first opened the hostel few years ago. I was very impressed how nice and clean the facilities were. We just stayed me and my sister in A&O in Rotterdam. The standards are still the same. The breakfast is good standard continental breakfast. 10-15 minutes walk from the central station. Thank you staff. Very helpful and they looked after our baggage’s from 10 am until after 5 pm"

"While it was kind (and odd) to be upgraded but without access to the M Lounge, it really didn't matter. The staff working The Pillars were all superb - particularly Maressa who kindly helped me improve my Dutch language skills. As the other 'front of house' for the hotel they are an absolute credit and I hope are recognised as such. The room was wonderful and we slept well followed up by an extensive range of breakfast choices to set you up for the day. I can recommend the cheese omelette. The location just across from Centraal station was another benefit meaning we had time to explore more Rotterdam before finally catching the train home."
