"Not a fair view of this property, it had a boiler issue but the property manager was quick to offer another site with a view to the old matera. Although it was awkward to get to, it was within walking distance to the historical center, we walked everywhere, with a supermarket nearby"

"We loved our stay at here. Hotel is in a great location with an amazing view on the ravine and the oldest part of Matera. Restaurants in walking distance and well placed within the city. Staff was SUPER helpful, even helping us through a crazy situation when our rental car was almost towed from the free parking because of a misunderstanding about when it would close for the city to mow. Thank goodness their shuttle driver was there to translate the situation to the police! They even offered to pay the ticket we got since they had suggested this parking (not knowing that the city would be closing it to mow). Breakfast was great with a variety of options from proteins to pastries. The only thing I would suggest to the hotel is adding a dehumidifier to each cave room. There was a bit of a musty smell in the room and it was quite humid making the linens feel almost damp. I’m sure this is normal for a cave, but I do think a dehumidifier would help! Beds were very comfortable and ac worked well. Overall a fabulous stay!"
