"Direct access to one of the best beaches on the Island, just step out of the door and onto clean sand with safe swimming for everyone. The staff cannot do enough for you, the food is excellent both in the restaurant and in the bar areas, but can get busy at times so advisable to book due to the popularity of the hotel and its commading views over the Bay."

"This is a comfortable and inviting hotel and it's really well placed for beach front and town (town being an enjoyable 10 min walk via Howard Davis Park). Rooms are spacious and the hotel is immaculate at all times. Bars and communal areas are pleasant spaces to enjoy a drink and something to eat. Restaurants are good. Entertainment was good fun. Mostly just did breakfast buffet which had lots of choice and was well presented. We only did one buffet evening meal but it was absolutely fantastic. However, the thing that makes this hotel special is the staff. They are ALL, very friendly, welcoming and polite and it makes it such a pleasant place to be. Well done The Merton. Your staff are an absolute credit to you at all times. "

"Even though I am a frequent visitor to Jersey I have not stayed at the Grand before, however it was a great choice. The staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel is quiet and well maintained. It was great value and even though I chose a cheaper room option it was spacious, clean and had a good view."
