I have to say I was a bit nervous based on some reviews leading up to our stay, but we have no complaints! Room was clean, we loved the balcony, and we were absolutely charmed by the area! The covered bridge, the stream, the neighbouring church & the adorable sheep that turned up on our last night all contributed to our experience. The location was super convenient for train travel! Breakfast was plentiful. We didn’t have any interactions with staff, so I can’t comment on that, but we had no issues with the self check in. We would stay here again.

The location was wonderful for Jungfrau connections and Interlocken . We stayed 3 nights did one day taking the ferry on Lake Riffelsee which was amazing and another day taking the trains to the highest mountain in Europe very convenient. The hotel was also a very special part of our trip. From the train station it's literally a 3 minute walk ( a convenient grocery store on the way) then you'll find yourself going back in time with a covered bridge, church and cobble stone streets. Inside they have done many renovations so it's very comfortable. The breakfast had an espresso coffee machine and warm home made bread with fresh fruit eggs and a special blend of granola There's picnic tables next to the River to watch the sunset. Very safe neighborhood. We want to bring our family back with us next time we visit

Stayed there for a week and really enjoyed our stay. It was a very homey feel and a great experience for the price. The hotel breakfast every morning ran from 7:30am to 9:30am and had some really good coffee every morning which was really convenient.

She's not posh but you'll have a wonderful Swiss guesthouse experience in a quaint village. Breakfast was spectacular with many choices and delicious coffees. Easy train and bus connections to all the local towns and villages. Looking forward to a return visit.

We loved our stay at the Historic Hotel Steinbock. We booked a room with a river view for two nights which was great. The room was decorated nicely and had everything you would need during your stay. The included breakfast each morning was very good with a large variety of items to pick from. The contactless check in was a plus. There are restaurants and a market nearby that are walkable from the hotel also. The location is great for day trips to various areas of interest. There is also parking available for hotel guests right outside the hotel which was convenient. Highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

This hotel was recommended to me by my sister who stayed here back in 2024. If you want a quiet space and not much crowd going on or passing by the hotel. This is the best hotel to stay, it is tuck behind a neighborhood. It is pretty quiet here only you can hear is the water from the river and the bell from the church. I like the neighborhood we passed by before heading to the hotel as there were friendly cats that I pet before heading back. Only comment I have, is our light in our room needs to be change as it is flickering and hurts our eyes but it is not a big deal as we use the smaller light and the smaller light is enough to light up the whole room. Also, there is not much communication needed everything is easy to deal with nothing complicated. Breakfast is very simple and food will make you full that will make you last half of the day before you get hungry again. I would definitely stay here again the next time I come back to Switzerland. It is not a perfect hotel but I like how the things goes in this hotel very cozy.

This is our second time staying here. It’s a good location if you’re traveling by train or car. The Check-In is much different than our stay 3 years ago. No one is on staff for check-in and the QR code process is a little awkward but we figured it out. There was an older couple that accidentally booked the incorrect dates for their trip and were “kicked out” of their room on what they thought was their 3rd night. They’d been gone all day doing tourist stuff, came back to the hotel at 20:30 to find someone else in the room they thought they had rented for another night (their fault) All of their luggage had been removed from the room. We helped them contact the hotel staff via telephone. The woman on call was very rude and hideous. I was very calm with her trying to find a solution and help the couple get their luggage and find a place to stay for the night. The hotel staff was very unhelpful. She could only raise her voice and yell over the phone. Very unprofessional. She charged the couple a “late checkout fee” and a “luggage handling fee” of 150 chf. We ended up walking down to the Hotel Hirschen (just over the bridge) to see if they had a room, which they did not but the staff there called around and found the couple a room in Interlaken for the night. We gave them a ride to the hotel. I will not stay at this lodging again, which is too bad that they’ve gone downhill. We love Wilderswil’s location for the area so will book Hotel Hirschen next year.

Clean room, room are little dark, with small window. Staff was nice. breakfast were excellent : many choices of bread, croissant, ham, cheese,… No staff at the desk on evening and overnight but easy to reach by calling available phone on the desk.

Yes, the room was spotless, the front view from the room of the running brook and the sound of serenity were unmatched. The church-view on the other side and periodical chiming of church bells made the stay surreal. Beautiful boutique hotel, well maintained and run by a family with superb connectivity and just few minutes away to Interlaken city-centre, with an awesome array of breakfast. Just a wonderful experience of a lifetime, backdrop of the Swiss Alps with picture post-card look. 100% recommended for a memorable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, hot water for showers. Only 10 minute bus/train into Interlaken, bus stop is very close walking distance to property. Hotel is right by the river and you can listen to the river at night- lovely! Breakfast was great. I would highly recommend staying here if you are planning a trip to Interlaken.
