WARNING! I was charged a 100% "cleaning fee" that wasn't described anywhere on the rental's page; even in the "fine print." I was charged $114/night for two nights, but my credit card was charged a 100% "deposit." This is a scam. Do not rent this place unless you wish to pay $114/night for the place, plus and additional $114/night for "cleaning." I will be very careful to rent such a place in the future and will never use the Red Awning home rental service again.

The house is sparkle clean. The kitchen is equipped with new and modern appliances. The property manager was very kind and helpful. But there is no central heating. The heater burning wood pellets was not effective at all. It was pretty cold at night time in November.

Quiet retreat
Very cozy cottage. It was very clean upon arrival and the house was completely stocked with everything you would need minus groceries! Has a washer/dryer and a BBQ. The downstairs deck looks into the forest and the upstairs deck over looks the ocean. Very beautiful and quiet! No cell phone service, which was good for us. FYI....you are just a few minutes from the town of Gualala, which has good services (groceries, fuel and restaurants). However you are about 1.5 hours from Fort Bragg, Bodega Bay, or Anderson Valley, but the drives are gorgeous. Our only two complaints is that the beach that is within walking distance from the house is private access and littered with no trespassing signs and there is only a small shower stall for bathing. Otherwise it is the perfect place to just get away and hide while on vacation. We hope to visit again.

Cute cabin
Cute cabin on a shady side street, very handy to the little town of Anchor Bay (you can walk to the grocery store and two restaurants. Roomy well-equipped kitchen and deck with barbeque and a bit of an ocean view. Bedrooms are both upstairs. Very clean and not musty as some coastal properties tend to be.
