Carmen is an excellent and attentive host, and a sweet person, as well as an excellent cook. Bathroom was sparkling clean. The balcony of my room offered an excellent view of one of the most beautiful architectural structures of the city. The nights are quiet, making for a sound sleep, unlike the center of the city. Most of all, I always felt right at home.
All the great reviews about Carmelita's are spot-on. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Carmelita is a wonderful host and equally great cook! The location of her establishment will allow you to walk past numerous restaurants and businesses, on your way to the center of town. Also you are within walking distance of Presa de la Olla. We will definitely be returning! Thank you, Carmelita!
Carmelta is the greatest host I've ever encountered!
She's on top of things, helpful, accommodating (out of her own will, she prepared a special healthy breakfast for my wife every day while we were there!). She and her staff really do an amazing job of going the extra mile.
Very nice and accommodating staff. Excellent meals, after 9AM for late risers. Early risers take snacks. Very helpful in obtaining tours, transportation, laundry service and anything you need. They maintain the property and keep it clean.
Before you say yes for any kindness or upgrade ask for price or you will get a bad surprise. Do not believe her if she says "just a tip". Other than that everything else was great
Carmen prepares excellent and varied breakfasts. Many stairs but all of Guanajato is hilly. She is always trying to please the guests, speaks English and is very helpful with tours or ideas of things to do. Carmen is certianly a great hostess!
Carmelita was great. She gave us a few recommendations on what to do and she provided us an excellent service while at the hotel. When we go back, we will definitely stay there again
Carmen is an absolutely great hostess. Her breakfasts were very good and her conversation even better. I had a wonderful time staying there and will absolutely stay there again. The hotel was a short walk (about 10 minutes) from downtown Guanajuato. That was perfectly fine because the walk was beautiful and it's very loud in downtown Guanajuato. There are lots of bars that are way, way too loud. I can only imagine how late they stay open. I would not want a hotel anywhere near there.
el lugar es excelente, el problema de la calle es un olor intenso de drenaje, así como poca posibilidad de estacionamiento, pero eso es en toda la ciudad de Guanajuato
