"I honestly would’ve given the spot a better review but we had an issue with dirty sheets after our first night there. It was enough that they moved us to another room. I don’t wanna trash them because they handled the situation quickly and kindly. And we got an upgrade to an oceanfront room without being charged any additional fees. That said, I think the issue with the Sheets was an honest mistake and we caught it but they could definitely do better with housekeeping and paying attention to best practices when cleaning. Everything else about the hotel day was great. That oceanfront room was fantastic. You’d probably pay 10 times at much at any of the other resort or larger hotels on the beach. The staff is super friendly. They have both an indoor and an outdoor pool, they also have an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand when returning from the beach. I would definitely stay here again."
"I was definitely disappointed upon arrival when realizing this is just an old motel with a slap of paint on it that they’re trying to promote as a “boutique hotel“. The bed was a glorified couch, bed, on a flimsy frame and horrible wire springs that caused it to nearly folded up on you when you lay down. It smelled like it had been doused in Febreze. The tub in the bathroom was cracked, the door to the room didn’t close properly, and in the 30 minutes, we were there someone tried to get into our room twice. We did not feel safe, and definitely did not feel like we were in a clean environment. I would definitely not recommend this spot. We ended up going to a different property with oceanfront views for only $10 more per night, we could literally walk out our door onto the beach. The room was clean, safe and 1000 times more comfortable. Do your research, don’t just rely on one source for reviews like I did. There are much better places to stay in the same price point."
"Room was dirty, kitchen utensils had food caked on them, pillows & sheets were dirty on one bed, our keys did not work and all but 1 time we had to go back down to front desk to get them fixed-it was the actual door lock but they never offered to try to fix or move us; we paid $75 for a dog fee but the dog area did not have anywhere for adults tp sit & was dirty from people not picking up after their pets. Very disappointed as I could have stayed at other pet friendly hotels that did not charge and had a pet yard with seats & obstacles for dogs. Free breakfast was normal but the hot items were just room temp & not that great! They do pickup & block off right at 9:30 & do not mention they are picking up just in case you want to get anything else & are sitting there eating."
"Room has just enough space for necessities. There are no closets or dressers, so be prepared for that. The property is two separate buildings and the breakfast area is only in one. You may have to change buildings to go eat. It wasn't a problem for me, but I figure it's something to mention. The location was great. It was easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go. If you come in at night, the road to get there is hard to notice, but it is indeed there 😊
Overall the hotel has it's ups and downs, but it is only a matter of preference. "
