"Everything was excellent about the hotel. However, while I was working out my daughter was playing guitar and singing. People heard her and opened the fitness center’s door so the rest of the people could hear her. After she sang for an hour, the front desk guy came down there and said, “You are going to have to stop. I can hear you over everyone in the lobby.” It was only 35-40 people drinking and hanging out in the lobby area. No way she was too loud, OR we are wondering if it was because she started singing a Christian song? He started to be rude, until he saw me. Then, he found his manners. I am not sure if the Christian song triggered him or not. To be fair, Maybe it was a coincidence. If so, I apologize, but it did not set well with me. I held myself together and just went to the room, but I kind of felt cheated. I guess the whole lobby full of people partying were not too loud though. Perturbed to say the least."

"My college friend and I "met in the middle" and stayed here for the weekend. We loved our lake view room at the lodge. The view was so wonderful! Everyone was kind and helpful. We wish there was map that had the property and the hiking trails. We did use both maps, but the hiking map doesn't show where the lodge or front entrance is for reference. We went to the seafood buffet with a reservation on Friday. The food did not look appealing on the buffet and some of it wasn't good at all- shrimp and grits primarily. The veggies didn't look good but tasted good. We enjoyed the gumbo and the fried shrimp. For the charge, we were disappointed. We would order from the menu next time."
