"I had such a great time staying here. Located in a beautiful spot on the hill surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, you will find this cosy spot. I received a bottle of wine from their own vineyard at check in which tasted wonderful and when I opened the door to my room a wave of fresh rosmary smell hit me, this was so pleasant. "La Mezzaluna is a short walk from Barga Gallicano train station, and buses to Lucca. Rita is amazingly hospitable & welcoming, and did so much to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms are very nice, buffet breakfast set us up for the day. There is a bus up to Barga during the day, and a taxi back in evening.If you visit Barga, this is the place to stay. "

"Wonderful locarion; a little challenging to find but the employee came to us to ahow where it is and walked us to the parking. Also very helpful with suggestions on things to do and directions. The room was nice and sparsley decorated. Some rooms, ours 8ncluded, are right off the breakfast area so don’t plan to sleep in but it wasn't crazy loud. Would stay again."
