Overall I had a lovely two days and one night on my Mon Cheri Cruise. The room was very tidy, the crew was kind, and the food was great! One thing that I did not enjoy is, as a female solo traveler, I was not prioritized like the couples and families on the boat. For meals we had assigned seating. I was placed at very small patio table in the corner or off to the side of the buffet away from the views of the bay. This left me feeling like I wasn't as valued as the others on the boat. It made me feel more like an after thought. In the future I would suggest keeping this in mind for travelers traveling solo. All in all, the trip around Ha Long Bay is one of the best things I have ever done.

Our cruise had a number of kids on board. Therefore, the cooking demonstration and squid fishing were very kids oriented and we were unable to enjoy them. The cooking demonstration waa quite basic - it was just fresh spring rolls. Overall, we had a lot of idle time ... which some people may enjoy. We wished that there were some more activities for the cruise to be value of money e.g. more sight seeing or a more elaborate cooking class.

The cruise itself is amazing with stunning scene. The activities are appropriate for a night stay. The staffs on board are very caring and friendly. It makes our stay very pleasant. The ship itself is also very good. Restaurant is comfortable and the choice of food is also very good. Don't miss their happy hour when some exotic drinks can be ordered. The assisting cabin manager Bill is very helpful and he also acted very responsibly in every activities. Tai chi at the deck at 6:15 in the morning was also very refreshing. One unpleasant thing was the toilet not working properly even after 2 repairs. Proper maintenance is definitely needed. Otherwise, it is a great cruise and we would surely come back with Mon Cheri and probably go for 2 nights next time on a different route.

Everything was good, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The facilities are amazing. Plus it is the only cruise in Halong Bay that served halal certified food which is a definitely a plus point for muslim travelers. Side note, they do served pork but as informed by one of the staff, they have two separate kitchen to prepare for the halal meal.They also offer a return shuttle from Hanoi Old Quarter to cruise terminal at 35USD per person. Overall it is highly recommended.

Mon Cheri provides top-notch service at every turn! The facilities, food and staff were all impressive. We took the luxury shuttle from Hanoi. It had reclining seats and excellent wifi. When we arrived in Ha Long we were ushered to a small waiting room with free bottled water and wifi. After just a short wait we were ushered to a small boat that took us to the larger cruise ship. The crew was waiting for us upon boarding with cool towels and fresh-brewed tea. We felt like royalty from that first moment until disembarking the following day!

Everything was as advertised. The boat was in great condition And our room was big and clean. The room had a nice balcony for two people to sit. Check in was easy and everything was on schedule. The cruise is run on a schedule and it’s to the minute. The food was really good and they also had a great selection from the bar. The staff are very attentive and make sure you are well take care of. We have zero complaints about Mon Cheri cruises

We had a wonderful stay from the moment we were picked up from our hotel in Hanoi to when we were dropped off the following day. The staff were so nice and friendly, the food was great, the activities were fun and the beautiful cruise ship was so smooth. They also prepared a cake and special decorations for our second honeymoon. It was an unforgettable cruise!

Great overnight cruise in Halong bay. Elegance suite with balcony has large king bed, bathroom with tub and shower, private balcony, plenty of room. Staff very accommodating, friendly, with decent English proficiency. Food excellent (lunch, snacks, full bar).

Beautiful boat. Staff were excellent. Activities were enjoyable. Luxury boat for families and couples. Had an issue with cleanliness of the room, there was a residual smell of cigarette smoke, which I could smell because I have a pretty sensitive sense of smell, when I spoke to the manager, he said he couldn’t smell it whilst for me it was quite obvious.

Nice and tidy boat with huge suite and balcony. Great personnel, great views and great surroundings. Programme packages (1 night / 2 nights) are efficient and good as well is the service. During our trip in June, we had large groups of very loud and somewhat unpolite asians which took away part of the unique atmosphere. However, in our rear suite the balcony was somewhat unusable due to diesel exhaust gases. The engine and / or generator was running 24/7 and one could smell that in the balcony. Also the engine noise in the rear is continuous and pretty loud.

Good value for your money. Friendly staffs !
Big and clean room + toilet in this cruise. The cruise was very stable and we did not feel sea sick and felt like floating with scenery along the way. Food was ok, but not excellent, fried chicken and beef were too oily or too overcook (hard to bite). Staffs were friendly and professional, thus has left us good impression generally.

The boat is new and very clean and pretty, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had 4 meals overall and 3 were great, just one was so so, we went kayaking and into a cave. Overall a great experience.

Great new cruise boat out of Hai Phong
This is a new boat and new company. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. With lots of room it never feels crowded. The staff is very good. Great food & service!! Always trying to please. It offers a great one day trip. We did a 2 day which gave more relax time in the beautiful surroundings. You also go biking, see a village and s fishing place on the 2 day. Our only complaint was the spa a poor pedicure - the girl seemed inexperienced but kind and my husband felt his massage was too rough. But that said we would highly recommend this boat and company. They also leave out of Hai Phong so less busy/ touristy with only a 2 hour drive from Hanoi - we then flew from Hai Phong airport to danang.

We were originally booked but the ship needed mainenance so we were ofered a date 2 days later. we were upgraded to the Presidencial Suite. Unbelievable. The staff were fantastic, thank you Jamie, trip was fantastic as was the food, Kayaking, swimming, fishing, Tai Chi.......wow. had a fantastic time and will recommend it to all our friends. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day, 1 night cruise with Mon Cherie. It was good value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Additional activities provided were a bonus.

Best Hotel Experience Ever!!!!
Most amazing stay we ever had, and we travel very often, about once every two months. The trip did not start out too well when we booked this cruise for the wrong date and hotels.com tell me there was nothing they can do. I reached out to the cruise directly and Mr. Trung was able to move our date, not only that, he also upgraded us to the Presidental Suite because the Mon Cheri Suites were all booked. The room was huge and the massage chair was a plesant surprise. Hotel pick up from Hanoi in the luxury van was awsome. This was our first time in Ha Long but I don't think there is any other way to see Ha Long Bay. The tours activities and the food were good, could be improve but bot bad at all. Service and every single staff was great, I felt like they all love their job. We loved the cruise so much that my wife and daughter did not want to leave at check out. Every aspect of the cruise was planned out to perfection.

Lovely cruise with great staff
Really impressed overall, the Mon Cheri experience was definitely better than expected. Similar to the rest of Vietnam (at least my experience), the level of English of the staff was pretty low... making yourself understood can take a couple of tries. Other things to keep in mind, this is a 24h cruise and excludes transport from Hanoi

Perfect couple of days
The rooms were excellent, amazing design and very comfortable. Only issue was with the plumbing our bathroom drain did not smell very nice. The staff were very attentive and always happy to help. Food included was excellent! The activities were great they take you to much quieter caves etc away from the 100s of tourists you will see on most ha long bay tours. We did the 3 day 2 night and it was definitely worth the extra night!
