"While easily-accessible from the ring road, it's also easily-missed; I had to turn around. Reception is in the first building on the right, but there are other hotels between that building & these rooms, which could be confusing. And like all 12 that I stayed in, the roads really need maintenance. But the building we were in appeared to be fairly new with large clean rooms and a slightly-larger shower than most others, but still without a good place for our soap & shampoo. We didn't eat here (the Pakkhus lobster dinner with 3 tails was worth the drive, the wait, and the 3 tolls for driving the new bridges) or tour the "museum" in the reception building, but the view was good."

"It's a beautiful hotel and very clean. I only gave 4 stars because the hit tubs, while situated in a gorgeous view, they were tepid water at best. The restaurant food was very good and again as a very tough critic, only 4 stars. Breakfast wasn't appealing to us so we skipped it. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Great bar and bar food."

"Charming guesthouse in an older farmhouse - great location, clean, comfortable. We had a nice stay, did not opt in for the breakfast at an additional cost. Very quiet despite most rooms being full. As mentioned in other reviews, there are ALOT of house rules. This didn't bother us but may deter guests who prefer a more relaxed stay."

"Clean and no frills hotel used during our road-trip through Iceland. Received instructions on how to pick up keys at a different location. We didn't realize that the bathroom was to be shared (knew about the kitchen). Water temperature was confusing as it immediately became extremely hot and then cold if you are not careful."
