Clean room ,breakfast, great range of choice, fantastic value for money.
Front counter service by staff , first class
I did not take advantage of the breakfast. I love the location and the facilities are tidy a d appear clean. I only ooted for fresh veddung a d towels once in the middle of my 6 night stay which is more frequently than I change my own at home! Being from Canada I did notice the lack of mini fridge in the room but adjusted easily to not having one. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The building is safe and secure.
My only real complaint I never mentioned to them but now regret as I don't know if it's the case in every room or if I could have changed: the room was very musty smelling. It was noticeable immediately upon walking in each time but I grew accustomed to it while there and propped the door open a couple of times thinking that might help. However, once I checked out and got to my daughter's home she was immediately offended by the musty smell of my luggage and clothing. We had to wash all my clothes and air the luggsge outside.
Very nice and helpful staff. A parking garage and some shops and restaurants were in immediate vicinity. The hotel is 20-25mins walking distance from Halifax train station, be advised though that the entire walk is uphill since the station is the lowest point of the city. The city itself is very accessible from the hotel with most shops and locations just a few minutes away. Very decently sized rooms with room for your luggage without feeling cramped in.
I paid through Expedia.
However, Expedia said that they did not receive the payment, and the hotel also asked me to pay for the accommodation.
I paid twice. I am very dissatisfied.
