Fantastic stay
This place was absolutely brilliant, nice and quiet lots for the kids to do emus and peacocks roaming around the property freely, goats that you can feed we loved It will definitely be back.
We love this place and have come back on our second trip to Halls Gap to find even more inprovements! The room we stayed in had been updated and we actually used the games room this time for ping pong and jenga. The biggest draw is the animal feeding. Our daughter loves getting up close to the animals, collect eggs and petting the cows. Our number one place to stay in Halls Gap
We love coming to Hall’s Haven, feeding the animals, the wild life, fire pit each evening, the bikes and games room plus the scenery make this the perfect family holiday. This was our second stay as a family and will definitely be back again - if you have young kids they will love it

Thanks so much Anonymous, so pleased you enjoyed your stay.
Recently spent 2 nights here during February so it was nice and quiet, only a few kids about. The swimming pool was a welcome relief and we loved seeing all the kangaroos and emus just wandering onto the property. Each morning you can participate in feeding the alpacas, cows and hens. Lots of birdlife as well around the ornamental lake and plenty of seating to relax and enjoy the ambience.
Other activities like bike riding, pool table, table tennis and games in the rec room which was kept neat and tidy.
Our cabin was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen had all the equipment and cooking utensils we needed. 5 minutes' drive to shops, cafes and restaurants in Halls Gap.
Lastly, the hosts were friendly and helpful and I will certainly be back again!
A very enjoyable place to stay. Very comfortable beds and so enjoyed seeing all the wildlife around the property. Chris the owner was excellent on providing information on the area and all the amenities of the property. My only negative was the shower. It was a little tricky to regulate the temperature. Great facility for families and couples.
The activities like interacting with the farm animals and wildlife when you liked. Enjoyed the quiet, country environment. We also enjoyed the golf putting green and driving range.
Plenty of options for kids to enjoy at the property: swimming pool, games room, cycling, basketball, trampoline.
Nice open BBQ area next to the lake,
Rooms are clean, kitchen has everything you need: fridge, microwave, cooktop, utensils.
The property was situated in a perfect location close to Halls Gap. Property was perfect for our little family getaway .

Chris is so accommodating and cheerful which makes our long journey to the Grampians worthwhile. For an overseas visitor, having a warm reception is very important as it makes us feel welcome!
Chris was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay in the Grampians very much.

Few days before my arrival, Amanda rang me to say that she will have to cancel my boooking as there was double booking. She said someone booked for Saturday night whereas I was booked for 3 nights. She later called me to say that someone cancelled a booking and that I an have this room. In this computer days, I find it hard to believe that double booking can be made by mistake...no way. I have traveled the world with advance booking never had any problem with booking.

Sorry Rahamat but computer or not, the error was made and double bookings do happen from time to time. (OTAs have whole departments who deal with theses issues every day all over the world) I could have bumped the other party who had booked weeks earlier for only the one night but that would have been most unfair.I'm very glad it worked out in the end and I believe you and your party had a lovely weekend.
Best, Amanda.
Lovely peaceful atmosphere. Friendly hosts and nice being close to nature. Unit was comfortable but a tiny bit cramped. However did not detract from enjoyment of stay.

A delightful place to stay in a charming rural setting, with both domesticated and wild animals around the property. Well equipped apartments and so very comfortable, it would have been pleasure to stay longer.

Thank you, we are glad you enjoyed what we have to offer. Maybe we'll see you again one day. Regards, Amanda and Dave.
The Staff we dealt with were really good and made sure we were settled. Although the Apartment was a little dated it has had some improvements done. It was nice to stay somewhere where the Fridge was a good size and the kitchen well stocked for cooking if inclined, The couch was comfortable and having a lamp in the lounge was nice, Aircon may look older but worked really well, DVD player would of been good if we had the chance to use it. (to busy). The bathroom was a good size with plenty of hot water for showers and plenty of hooks to hang towels etc. The bedroom had plenty of hanging space for clothes and somewhere to put your cases and lots of extra bedding and spare cushions for the couch which we used. The only down side was a strong smell of paint and a very very soft bed. The BBQ are is well setup and the wildlife wandering around was nice to watch. We have stayed in a lot of places and have found them lacking in some way, Halls Haven ticked all the box's. We would be very happy to return sometime and just wished we could of stayed longer. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Thanks for your kind review. Happy that you enjoyed what we have to offer and the beautiful Grampians area. Hope to see you again one of these days. Kind regards, Amanda and Dave.
Had a great time there, surrounded by nature and wildlife. They provide electric blanket which is great especially during the cold weather. Location is great and is nearby the small town. However, there was a small issue whereby there is a electric trip & we were not able to use some of the electrical items in the room. The owner gave us an alternative to use the facility at the room next to ours (it was vacant despite the no vacancy sign at the hotel's entrance) but refuse to let us move there. We requested to move there as it will be more convenient but she refused, indirectly implying that we will spoil the electrical items there as well.

So glad you enjoyed your stay Sharon and friends.Apologies for the power tripping. It was simply too many things plugged in all at once. Because I could not fix the problem that late in the evening, I felt the best option was to let you all spread out into the (luckily) empty unit next door. Had you all moved in there completely, I suspect the exact same thing would have happened with the same number of appliances plugged in. Anyway, happy that you were warm and cosy and had a good time in the Grampians. Kind regards, Amanda and Dave.
Obviously I did not research exact address as I was lost for 20mins, but on arrival I was greeted by owners,Amanda + Dave .Both welcomed us with wide smiles + happy chat.. Our unit was adequate but the setting was so fabulous I can only say " Oh the serenity".Any noise by Frogs , goats , chickens was calming, adding to the ambiance releasing all stress + made us want to stay longer.Thankyou to Amanda + Dave for a relaxing 6 days

Spent 2 nights at Halls Haven. The unit was comfortable with all the basics expected from self catering accommodation. Space was great for 2 people to rest up and relax.

Nice environment ruined by an uncomfortable bed.
The grounds and surrounds were very pleasant and the owner who looked after us was very friendly. However, the room was very basic which would have been OK but the sagging bed was terrible and we had a poor night's sleep, waking up with very sore backs. After reporting this to the owner in the morning, she promised that she would give us a "better bed next time". We are confident that there won't be a "next time" for us. Hall's Gap has a huge number of accommodation options which we expect to be better.

Hello again Volod, sorry that your night was not as comfortable as it could have been. I'm glad I asked you about the bed at check out, the bed has now been replaced. There's a saying 'we don't know what we don't know' thus, feed back, positive or otherwise improves what we can offer our future guests. Kind regards, Amanda and Dave.
