"We wanted to stay two nights in Moe, we were concerned about the level of accommodation that was available, as we had a bad experience last time.
All of the properties are self rated and so not answerable to any hotel group, this is very obvious.
We booked a deluxe pool view room, and a couple of days before phoned to confirm that this was in fact the best room.
Spoke to Raj and she assured me that this was a good room and in fact her favourite room Room 20.
The furnishings in this room were far superior to the motel we stayed at last time, the bathroom in parts was newly renovated, but just not finished, paint work not finished, and while an attempt had been made to clean the bathroom, the rim around the shower was full of dirt and the floor of the bathroom was not clean , behind the door and along that wall the tiles were filthy, - not cleaned for a long time.
The bed was okay and bedding was clean, windows furnishings were fairly new.
There was a microwave, kettle, good size fridge, and plates, cups and bowls for 2 people.
Parking was outside the room, we did not use any other amenities.
Our deluxe pool view room looked out on a very ordinary looking pool area and overgrown gardens (mostly weeds).
So bit of a joke really.
There is no onsite manager, reception was closed before 8.p.m.and not open until after checkout at 10.a.m.
The gardens around this motel are lovely but in need of a lot of work.
In conclusion better than the last place we stayed, but won't stay there again"
"Remember that this is a small country motel… not a flashy B&B or city accommodation.
Having said that, it is an excellent place to stay. Check in friendly, efficient and quick. Rooms clean and comfortable. Walk a few paces to the hotel for a great meal, and to some interesting little shops as well as essentials eg. chemist, supermarket, liquor. Cafes great for breakfast! A lovely barbecue and lawn area. Right opposite The Great Southern Rail Trail. Very safe and convenient for a single traveller passing through, and ideal for cyclists and walkers!"
