Lovely Hostel with clean rooms. Very small rooms but clean. The front desk workers very kind and most spoke english well. Very good price for a place to lay your head at night. So many different kinds of people staying there.

The rooms are much smaller than expected but it’s still excellent for the price. The buffet is pretty good for the price. Staff are friendly speak good English. The restrooms are also small in the unit but they have very nice ones in the lobby.

It was my first time in Germany and Hamburg to be precise. The hotel experience was amazing with clean room, staff were friendly and very patient especially people who cannot speak German.. hopefully you could add a swimming pool and a gym facility in the future… Whenever I visit I will always be at Bettengburg hotel

False Advertising & Terrible Service - Avoid if you need amenities! ​I booked this hotel specifically because the listing clearly stated they have a laundry room. However, upon arrival, the staff informed me that the laundry room is "for staff only" and not for guests. Their only "solution" was to suggest I travel to a third-party laundromat kilometers away—a 15-minute bus ride each way. This is completely unacceptable and ridiculous for a paying guest. ​Neither the hotel nor Expedia took responsibility. The hotel refused to offer any compensation or alternative solution, and Expedia CS claimed they couldn't do anything because the external laundromat "works with third parties"—which makes zero sense since it's not even nearby! ​This is a clear case of misleading information and false advertising. Do not trust their amenity list.

Alot of social cases loving in this hotel. Romanian beggars sitting in the lobby charging their phones, before smoking in the hallway outside their room. Under the bed it was so much trash and what loocked like bed bugs. I didnt stay, whent down to the lobby and asked for my reservation to be cancelled. The woman in the lobby was very helpfulbut Im amazed that this hotel has any paying clients at all. This experience was truly terrifieyng for me.

On arrival, my room was so dirty I had to clean it myself. After lunch, the restaurant closes, and the staff refuse to open the door to provide water. Instead, you’re told to drink bathroom tap water or purchase a 330 ml bottle for €2.90. Poor hygiene and poor guest care—would not recommend.

I understand that these rooms are budget offers, however, what is offered shouldn't be so bad. The room is too small, and the bathroom has only a glass door, which gives no privacy. The room does not have a body mirror, a mini fridge, or a hair dryer. The floor has a carpet, and the curtains were off the track, it is really outdated. The staff was not friendly, only doing the procedure. The location is close to a bus stop and S-Bahn, however, it is very far away from the city center. Saving money staying at this hotel/hostel is definitely not worth it.

ハンブルクの近くで、この価格なら十分なホテルだと思う。駅からもすぐで、美味しいパン屋さんも近くにある。部屋の狭さは予想通りなので、驚かなかったし、口コミとは違い、清潔で騒音もなかった。が、冷蔵庫は欲しかった。北ドイツとはいえ、最近の夏は暑いのでクーラーがなく、冷蔵庫がないのは辛い。飲み物を冷やしたかった。

- Frühstück war eine Zumutung (Aufbackbrötchen waren steinhart - keine oder schlechte Obstauswahl - schlechter Kaffee - Ei nicht durchgekocht - Aufschnitt wurde erst aufgefüllt wenn die letzte Scheibe genommen wurde Zimmer: - dreckig - schlechte Bettwaren (kann man nicht schlafen auf dem Plastik) - Badezimmerfugen schlecht verarbeitet mit Silikon (jeder Laie kann es besser) - Personal hat keine klare Aufgabenteilung (Küche) und läuft mit Privatklamotten rum!

Das Hotel war sauber, ebenso wie die Zimmer. Das Personal war freundlich, aber die Zimmer waren unglaublich klein. Außerdem liegt das Hotel weit von der Stadt entfernt, was es aufgrund des geringen Preisunterschieds nicht wert ist, dafür zu entscheiden.
